Jamie Spears, the estranged father of pop star Britney Spears, reportedly has absolutely no plans to read her upcoming memoir, “The Woman In Me.”
The elderly entrepreneur has suffered a series of health problems earlier this year, including surgery in August to clear an infection from a knee replacement he had nearly two decades ago.
Britney Spears’ Father Jamie Spears Won’t Read Her Memoir

The “Toxic” singer was subject to a controversial conservatorship from February 2008 until it was overturned by a judge in November 2021. During that time, Britney’s financial and personal affairs were largely controlled by her father, Jamie Spears. The conservation caused Britney to become estranged from not only her father, but her mother, Lynne Spears, and her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, as well.
On Friday morning, a source told TMZ that Jamie isn’t worried about what Britney has to say about him in her new book because he’s seen what she says about him and the rest of his family on social media. In September 2022, she wrote on Instagram that she was “praying” that both her parents “burn in h—.”

Jamie’s ex-wife, Lynne Spears, and her daughter, Jamie Lynn, have released their own memoirs that discuss how Jamie was absent during much of Britney’s childhood. They also reflect on his struggle with alcohol in the lead up to his health scare in 2018, where he was hospitalized for 28 days with a ruptured colon.
During her conservatorship, Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, has alleged that Jamie took millions of dollars from the pop star during her conservatorship. Unfortunately, Britney was unable to get the money back, as most of her expenses were approved by the court while she was under conservatorship.

It remains to be seen what Britney has to say about her father in her memoir, but it seems Jamie doesn’t care to know and isn’t interested in reading it. A source for Jamie previously told Page Six that it’s doubtful Britney will be completely factual in her memoir, saying, “It’s going to be really interesting to read the book. I’m not sure how the publishers can fact-check most of it. Britney is very unwell. during the old days.”
However, it seems Britney is portraying her mother and sister in a better light, as the source said they “don’t think” Lynne or Jamie Lynne “would be upset” by the memoir, adding, “I think they’ll think it’s fair.”
Jamie Spears Out Of Hospital After Suffering ‘Bad Infection’

Last week, People magazine reported that Jamie Spears is “currently in an infectious disease outpatient facility” to treat a bacterial infection and is “on the mend” after several weeks in the hospital. He was treated at a special infectious disease facility after suffering a “bad infection” that required him to undergo surgery.
While there were rumors that the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer might be trying to reconnect with her father while he was dealing with this latest health issue, it seems the two never made up. In a since-deleted September 2022 Instagram post, Britney made her feelings for both her parents clear.
