While sources say Britney wrote about how Justin broke up with her via text message, an insider told Us Weekly that Justin allegedly broke up with her “over the phone” but then traveled from California to Louisiana to deliver the handwritten breakup letter in person. Insiders claim that Britney not only framed the letter but keeps it under her bed to this day!

Although she didn’t say exactly what Justin wrote in the letter, Britney wrote in her memoir that the “Cry Me A River” singer was a “good writer” and explained that the letter still made her emotional. In an excerpt from The New York Times published on Thursday, Britney recalled that she was completely “devastated” by the breakup.

“I’m in a coma in Louisiana, and he’s happily running around Hollywood,” she wrote. Amid allegations of infidelity, one of the biggest shocks to come out of the memoir was her unplanned pregnancy when she was just 19.

In an excerpt from “The Woman In Me,” released by People magazine, Britney opened up about the “painful” decision to end her pregnancy when Justin made it clear “that he didn’t want to be a father.”

“It’s a shock, but for me, it’s not a tragedy. I love Justin so much. I always hope we have a family together one day. This will be sooner than I expected,” he wrote in his memoirs. “But Justin is definitely not happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were too young.”

“I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it was left up to me, I wouldn’t do it. But Justin was so adamant that he didn’t want to be a father,” she continued, adding, “To this day, it’s one of the most painful things I’ve ever experienced in my life.”

His old family friend allegedly told The Sun that Justin “owned who he was” at that time in his life, but said he is a different person now. “Justin owns who he was when he and Britney were together, even though his personality, career, lifestyle and personal preferences are radically different now, twenty years later,” they said. “This book was a nightmare for him because it threw the whole family into chaos.”

“The timing stings as much as the revelation itself,” they continued. “Justin has a big fall planned with new music on deck, more work with his old friends in NSYNC, and of course, the next installment of the Trolls franchise, which has been a big money maker for Justin over the last few years.”

Another source told Us Weekly that she’s “trying to distance herself” and focus on her own family in light of the recent allegations. “The Social Network” actor married actress Jessica Biel in 2012. The two share two sons: Silas, 8, and Phineas, 3.

“Justin and Britney dated a long time ago, and she has a different life now,” an insider told the outlet. “He’s focused on his family, his career, and moving forward, and he wants to put whatever happened in the past behind them.”

In his own 2018 memoir, “Hindsight & All the Things I Can’t See In Front Of Me,” Justin explained why he wrote “Cry Me A River,” which was long assumed to be about Britney’s infidelity.

“I was mocked. I have been angry. I wrote ‘Cry Me a River’ in two hours. I had no intention of writing it,” he wrote at the time. “The feelings I had were so strong that I had to write them down, and I translated my feelings into a form where people could hear and, hopefully, relate to them. People listen to me and they understand because we’ve all been there.”

Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman In Me” is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
