It looks like Justin Timberlake is a little worried about what Britney Spears’ ex might have to say about him in her new memoir, “The Woman In Me.”
The two only dated for three years, from 1998 to 2002, but many headlines and rumors were born from their brief relationship. It seems the 41-year-old pop star is now ready to tell the truth about how their relationship really ended in her memoir and it seems to have left the “Rock Your Body” singer nervous.

Britney’s memoir, “The Woman In Me,” comes out in just over a week on October 24, which has some of her famous ex-partners very nervous about what she’ll write about them. On Monday, October 16, a source told Page Six that the 42-year-old singer is “concerned” about what the Princess of Pop has to say about him.
“He’s very curious about what she’s going to reveal from their relationship,” a source told the outlet. “It eats at him.” However, they went on to say that “This is Britney finally getting a chance to tell her empowering story and it’s nothing more than that.”
On Wednesday, October 11, another source told Us Weekly that Justin “wouldn’t be happy” with what Britney wrote about him, claiming the “Toxic” singer was “going after him hard.” The insider went on to say that Britney is “excited but nervous” about the release of her memoir, noting that “It’s not Britney’s intention to bash anyone,” adding, “She’s just going to present the facts from her perspective.”

As Page Six noted, more than a decade ago, the “Mirrors” singer wouldn’t “say specifically why” his relationship with the “Gimme More” singer ended in an interview with Barbara Walters. When he was pressed to respond to allegations that Britney had cheated on him, Justin replied, “Honestly, we’re not perfect,” adding, “I’m not judging anybody.”
When Diane Sawyer asked Britney what he was done to end the relationship the following year, Britney had a similarly measured response. “I think everybody has a side of their story to make them feel a certain way … and I’m not technically saying he’s wrong, but I’m not technically saying he’s right either,” he said at the time.
Their split is said to have spawned JT’s hit single, “Cry Me A River,” while Britney is rumored to have written “Everytime” in response. Although the two appear to have moved on, Justin issued an apology for the way he treated his former flame following the backlash he faced following the release of the 2021 New York Times documentary “Framing Britney Spears.”

In February 2021, Justin Timberlake used Instagram to issue a public apology following the backlash he faced as a result of the 2021 New York Times documentary “Framing Britney Spears.”
“I have seen the messages, tags, comments and concerns and I want to respond,” he wrote at the time. “I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to problems, where I spoke in reverse, or did not speak for the right things. I understand that I failed in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones infidelity and racism.”
“I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson individually, because I care and respect these women and I know I failed,” he continued. “I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be a part of and grow.”

“This industry is flawed. It sets men up, especially white men, for success. It was designed this way,” he said. “As a man in a privileged position I have to be vocal about this matter. Because of my ignorance, I didn’t realize it all this time when it was happening in my own life but I don’t want the benefit of others to be withdrawn.”
“I have not been perfect in navigating all of this throughout my career. I know this apology is the first step and not forgiving the past. I want to take responsibility for my own mistakes in all of this and be part of an uplifting and supportive world,” he concluded. “I am very concerned about the well-being of those I love and care about. I can do better and I will do better.”
At the time, a source told Us Weekly that Britney “doesn’t hold a grudge” against her ex, adding, “She feels that they were young and in love and both did stupid things when they were together. She was heartbroken when they broke up, but that not something he thinks about now.”
