Britney Spears Says She Has ‘No Purpose’ Without Her Sons

Singer Britney Spears opened up about her relationship with her two sons in a series of audio clips she shared with her millions of Instagram followers on Saturday night.

The “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer was married to former backup dancer Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007. They share two teenage sons: Jayden James and Sean Preston.

Things have been rocky between Britney and her son since K-Fed revealed to the world that the boys haven’t seen their mother in months. To make matters worse, Jayden appeared at his father’s side for another interview with Australia’s 60 Minutes, claiming that Britney’s family were not “bad people” for putting her through conservatorship for a controversial 13 years.

In the audio file, which was transcribed by Page Six, Britney was visibly emotional as she spoke about the loss of her two sons.

“Literally, I have no purpose anymore. They are my joy. They are everything to me,” he said. “I was looking forward to seeing them. That’s what I live for. And then all of a sudden, they’re gone.”

Although he was in conservatorship, he stated that “at one point,” he “used to have” his son “more” than K-Fed.

Britney added, “I mean, people don’t remember that part because they always focus on the negative, but since they were 6 to 9 years old, I had it 70 percent of the time.”

She also expressed frustration that it was “easy” for her son to cut ties with her, saying, “I don’t understand how it’s so easy for them, just to cut me off like that. I don’t understand.”

This is far from the first time Britney has opened up about her strained relationship with her son. Earlier this month, she took to Instagram on Labor Day to share another audio clip lamenting how her son treated her.

In a since-deleted Instagram audio clip, Britney expressed frustration and disappointment with her family’s increasingly public drama.

In the clip, he calls his son Jayden live to confront him about comments he made in a recent interview.

“Jayden, while you’re putting my behavior down like my whole family always does, ‘I hope he gets well, I’ll pray for him’ … Pray for what?” Britney asked, telling her sons that she needed “unconditional love and support” from them.

In the audio recording, Britney said that she did not feel “appreciated” as a person, appearing to speak to her family and son.

“It saddens me that none of you appreciate me as a person,” Britney said. “You have witnessed how my family treats me and that is all you know. Like I said, I think you all secretly want to say something wrong with me.”

She also recalled a specific moment that was apparently the last time Britney saw her two sons. “I will say it. I sat in that kitchen and looked you right in the eyes, beautiful boy, and said, ‘Why can’t I see you anymore? Or just see you again? I look forward to seeing you every week,’” he recalled. “You say, ‘Mom, oh, it’s going to change.'”

“You and your brother always leave me at the house two hours early. Preston is going to sleep. You’ll be playing the piano all the time,” he claimed. “And if I don’t shower you all with gifts and prepare amazing food and play the holy king’s mother, it still won’t be good enough.”

He ends the audio clip by claiming that he no longer believes in God and is now an atheist because of the way his family treated him for over a decade.

“God would not have allowed that to happen to me if God existed,” he said. “I don’t believe in God anymore because of the way my children and family treat me. Nothing can be trusted anymore. I’m an atheist, y’all.”
