Britney Spears Shares Young Photo After Approving Her Kids’ Move To Hawaii With Kevin Federline
On Saturday night, the 41-year-old pop star shared a photo of herself holding young Jayden on her hip as she appeared to be wearing a button-down blouse with black shorts. In the caption, she dropped two flower emojis and credited the snap to GSI Media.
Although Britney officially agreed to allow the two boys to move to Hawaii with her ex-husband, many fans were skeptical about K-Fed and her intentions. Some fans have pointed out that child support can last until age 23 in Hawaii, as long as certain educational requirements are met.

In the spring of 2018, K-Fed claimed that he makes less than one percent of what Britney makes. At the time, he said he earned $3,000 a month while receiving $20,000 ($10,000 per son) each month from Britney in child support. In court documents obtained by The Blast, he claims that Britney “earns more than $34,000,000 a year.” In his declaration, Kevin wrote:
“I work as a DJ. My income this year is about $3,000 a month, which I earn by traveling to various entertainment venues around the country and providing musical entertainment. My income has changed significantly since child support was last modified in about 2008 as I am no longer making six figures like I was in 2008. I am no longer able to perform as a dancer due to my age, and I have not been able to release new music like I was in 2008. I’m less ‘name’ and less in demand than I was in 2008, which has negatively affected my income.”
Kevin Federline goes on to claim that there is “a stark difference between the lifestyles enjoyed by underage children in parties [Britney’s] home and inside [Kevin’s] home.”
At the time, he said that Britney “is a single woman who lives alone in a 13,264-square-foot Neoclassical Italianite villa on 21 acres in a gated community with an elevator, library, media/game room, 3,500-bottle wine cellar. , an additional 1,200-square-foot pool house, orchard, resort-sized pool and spa, lighted tennis courts and three-green golf course.”

Instead, Kevin said that he “lives with his wife, his two young children from his current marriage, the two young children he shares together. [Britney] and two minor children from a previous relationship in the 2,000-square-foot home.”
He went on to claim that the pop star “has private chefs, tutors, caretakers, security and countless house staff available for the little ones of the party. Children have many ‘toys’ including ATVs, every video game system imaginable, i-Pads, laptops, and the finest and most abundant clothing, technology and consumer goods. Children go on vacation several times a year with [Britney]including the best 5-star resorts in luxury destinations such as, for example, the Hawaiian Islands.”

At the time, K-Fed claimed that he “couldn’t afford to take minors on vacation or buy consumer goods that are endlessly provided to minors with [Britney] while in his care,” went on to say, “The small children could not accommodate the presence of 15 of their friends for [Kevin’s] house to stay due to lack of space. There is a stark difference between the lifestyles enjoyed by the party’s underage children [Britney’s] home and inside [Kevin’s] home.
Kevin Federline concluded his statement by asking for “modifications on child support” so that he can “guarantee the housing and services they need to be able to meet the needs of minors while they are in [his] care.”

K-Fed’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told PEOPLE at the time, “We think the reasonable need for the children while they are in Kevin’s care is probably three times what he is receiving now.”
However, a source close to Britney told Entertainment Tonight, “Kevin wants a raise and he can’t explain where the $20,000 is going.”
A recent lawsuit filed against K-Fed and his wife reveals that the couple is being sued for nearly $16,000 for alleged unpaid tuition from 2018 to 2019.
