Singer Britney Spears and her husband, Iranian actor Sam Asghari, will divorce just 14 months after tying the knot.
There have been many reports of a conflict over the past few months and the two were photographed without their wedding rings earlier this year. While the former personal trainer reportedly took off her ring for a movie role, it’s unclear why the “Toxic” singer would be removing it.
Reportedly, she posed without her wedding ring again on Wednesday, August 16, shortly before news that she and her husband were splitting made headlines.

A source tells ET that Sam has already filed for divorce from the pop star, adding, “The two haven’t been together for a long time and it finally ended after a big fight.”
In fact on Wednesday night, TMZ reported that the 41-year-old pop star was spotted driving without her wedding ring earlier in the day. Britney was photographed driving in her Mercedes earlier Wednesday wearing a pair of sunglasses and no wedding ring.

Britney began her post by writing, “I’m the meditation b—- now ??♀️… my husband hates it … he thinks I’m crazy.”
“I say all this because I’m trying to take care of myself,” he continued. “Usually I forget to eat … I wait too long and I’m too sensitive so if anything goes wrong at home it’s like the world has come to an end.”

An insider claims that the actress is reportedly “trying to negotiate concessions outside of her prenup and threatening to go public with highly embarrassing information about Britney unless she is paid.”
Another insider who spoke to Page Six on Wednesday night confirmed that “Britney and Sam signed a prenuptial agreement in her favor,” adding, “Any money she makes before the wedding is protected.” Britney’s lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, reportedly hired a family lawyer to draft a prenup to protect her assets.

Prior to her marriage, Britney’s finances were largely controlled by her father during a conservatorship that lasted from February 2008 to November 2021. Britney and Sam began dating in 2016 after they met on the set of his “Slumber Party” music video. The two tied the knot in June 2022 during a star-studded wedding ceremony in the backyard of his Thousand Oaks estate.
