Pop star Britney Spears unfollowed Sam Asghari on Instagram just hours after he unfollowed her.
On August 16, the 29-year-old actress filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The two are reportedly not on speaking terms and it seems they have decided to break up on social media as well.

On Tuesday night, Sam decided to unfollow Britney from Instagram. It’s still unclear why he waited until Tuesday to follow up, as he hasn’t posted anything since the weekend. One of her latest videos has her dancing in an animal print bodysuit that has a plunging neckline to show off her brown bra.
“HAND ON MY HIP SAYS EVERYTHING!!! How many times have you been cheated or cheated by someone you love ??? Psss repeat because good … I MEAN !!!” she wrote in the caption of this Instagram post.

Sam hasn’t been very active on Instagram since she filed for divorce on August 16. However, she took to her Instagram story days after filing for divorce to share three different outfits.
“Help me choose a paparazzi disguise,” she wrote along with three different options for fans to choose from.

Just a day after she filed for divorce, the “Special Ops: Lion Bear” actress took to her Instagram Stories to say she wished Britney “the best always” and dismissed the end of their six-year relationship as “sh*t happens.”
“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote. “We will keep the love and respect we have for each other and I wish him the best. Sh*t happens. Asking for privacy apparently [ridiculous] so I would just ask everyone including the media to be kind and considerate.”

A day after she made her statement, the Pop Princess left a lengthy statement in the caption of an Instagram video that featured her dancing in a black crop top and black boots. “As everyone knows, me and Hesam are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little surprised but … I’m not here to explain why because honestly it’s nobody’s business !!!” he wrote. “But, I can’t take the pain anymore to be honest!!! In some kind of telepathic way I have received so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I am grateful!!!”
“I’ve been playing hard for too long and my Instagram may look perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that!!! I want to show my emotions and tears about my true feelings but for some reason I always have to hide my weaknesses !!!” he continued. “If I wasn’t my father’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to be treated by a doctor!!! Last week, a source told Us Weekly that the divorce “is a new chapter for Britney in more ways than one” as she prepares to make a career comeback.
The insider claims that he has been “focusing on himself” and working on new music. “The songs are about freeing herself from negativity and unhealthy people,” the source said, adding that she wants to release her new music at the same time as her highly anticipated memoir, “The Woman In Me.”
Another insider told the outlet that Britney hopes to do a “big sit-down interview” when the book is released this October, however, the source said, “Her team needs to assess where she’s at to see if she’s ready for it.”
