While Britney Spears had nothing but praise for actor Sam Asghari in her first memoir, “The Woman In Me,” it looks like she might not come so clean in her next book.
Last week, the 41-year-old pop star revealed via Instagram that she has a second book planned for next year following the success of her memoir, which was released on Tuesday, October 24 and has sold over a million copies. Although she deleted the post, fans are hoping they will get more answers that reveal why the longtime couple’s six-year relationship ended.

While some fans were hoping Britney would vilify Sam for leaving her after fourteen months of marriage, it seems the “Toxic” singer has no plans to talk bad about her ex.
“Britney doesn’t want to go after Sam,” a source told Us Weekly. “He just wants to [to talk about] why did the relationship break up.”
In her memoir, Britney called the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor “a gift from God” and said she was “giddy” at the thought of starting a family with him. Unfortunately, the pop star shared that she suffered a miscarriage just months before they tied the knot in May 2022.

“I have appreciation because he is stable. I love that he doesn’t even drink,” she wrote in one section of the book. “I knew I wanted him in my life right away. The chemistry with us at first was crazy. We couldn’t keep our hands off each other.”
The day after his book was released, Sam was asked how he felt about his memoir. “I’m so proud of him, and I hope he takes over the world,” she said, per Page Six. When asked about the part where he called it a “gift from God,” Sam added, “That makes me smile, to be honest.”
However, some fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment that Sam only filed for divorce after he had signed off on the final draft of the manuscript so he couldn’t share information about the divorce in “The Woman In Me.”

The former couple met on the set of the “Slumber Party” music video in 2016 and started dating soon after. Sam popped the question in September 2021, just two months before his controversial 13-year conservatorship was dismissed by a judge in November 2021. The two tied the knot in a star-studded wedding at his Thousand Oaks estate in Los Angeles, California, in June 2022 , but soon there were rumors of marital problems.
The 29-year-old actress filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star on August 16, 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The actress has come under fire for asking for spousal support in her legal filing, even after Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart hired a family lawyer to draft an airtight prenuptial.

Days after news of the divorce hit the headlines, the Pop Princess broke her silence on the divorce with a lengthy statement left in the caption of a video of her dancing in her living room.
“As everyone knows, me and Hesam are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little surprised but … I’m not here to explain why because honestly it’s nobody’s business !!!” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post at the time. “But, I can’t take the pain anymore to be honest!!! In some kind of telepathic way I have received so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I am grateful!!!”

She went on to say, “I’ve been playing hard for too long and my Instagram may look perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that!!! I want to show my emotions and tears about how I really feel but for some reason I always have to hide my weaknesses !!! If I wasn’t my father’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to be treated by a doctor!!!”
