Pregnant Brittany Mahomes, wife of American football quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, is thrilled to make her only and first daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes, a big sister!
In anticipation and preparation for the due date, she recently celebrated her little girl with an adorable thank you for being a mom and learning the best things in life from Sterling.

The 27-year-old mom took to Instagram to share eight adorable photos of herself with Sterling at their recent baby shower and captioned the post with the sweetest message that read in part:
“As we begin the last few weeks of this baby girl being my only child, all I can think about is how grateful I am to be her mama!”
He went on to say that his daughter has taught him “so much” about life that he named, including “peace, patience, being present,” and really making time for the things that matter.
Brittany then calls Sterling “my girl” and “my everything” before declaring that she won’t take life with the youngster for granted. To end the heartfelt message, he wrote:
“I can’t wait for you to be the best big sister but also soak in every last moment with just your star girl.”

As for the attached image, the September-born, who is wearing a long-sleeved white dress, can be seen holding Sterling to her chest and kissing his cheek in the first slide. The next photo shows only her legs with her daughter standing close and looking at the camera.
Sterling’s full outfit can also be seen, consisting of a brightly colored shirt underneath a knit dress with the word “sister” emblazoned on it. She matched the costume with white heels and rolled socks.
In the third slide, Brittany squats with brown and white balloons in the background while holding her baby girl’s hand on her round belly. The following slide shows a clear view of Sterling touching a white balloon and a blurry picture of his mom in the background.
He was also seen hugging the former footballer who was sitting on a chair in the fifth snap. Their faces are obscured, while the next image is a single side profile shot of the youngster with more balloons in the background.

In the penultimate photo, Sterling holds a small round object with both hands and looks cutely at the camera. There are several game animals in the slide, including lions and possibly donkeys. The final image shows the soon-to-be big sister crawling through a large nude round play equipment with an expression of joy on her cute face.
Last month, Mahomes’ baby shower was a neutral, jungle-themed event with lots of balloons. Brittany naturally included fans in the celebration by sharing photos on social media, with some showing her alone and others featuring adorable little Sterling.
The doting mother also wrote a short and touching message to her soon-to-be-born son in anticipation of his arrival. It reads, “Hey baby boy, we’re ready for you.” Shortly before that, the Mahomes family spent quality time with their only daughter, officially marking their last trip before welcoming another child.

The parents took Sterling to the pumpkin patch to pick some pumpkins with loved ones ahead of Halloween, with all three looking super cute and having the time of their lives.

In March, The Blast reported that Brittany and her faithful partner Patrick said their vows and shared the details of their wedding together using some beautiful photos on Instagram.
The radiant bride wore a stunning white wedding dress paired with a floor-length veil, while her groom wore a gray tux with a matching tie and black patterned shoes. The event, which took place on the beach with palm trees scattered around and lots of white flowers decorating the place, turned out to be a memorable occasion.
Britteny and Patrick had big smiles on their faces as they posed together in all the images, while one included their baby Sterling, who was carried by the stunning mum. In the caption, the couple announced to the world that they were man and wife as they simply wrote, “Mr. & Mrs. Mahomes,” and in no time, they received a ton of loving congratulations.
