A year after rejoining the singles, Brittany Snow opens up about her challenges and those who supported her through the tough times.
The entertainer is known for her phenomenal portrayal of iconic characters such as a cappella singer Chloe Beale in the “Pitch Perfect” franchise. Outside of Hollywood, the actress actively raises awareness for charitable causes.
While promoting her mental awareness book, “September Letters,” co-written with Jasper Guest, the 37-year-old appeared to hint at her divorce from Tyler Stanaland. The former couple separated after two years of marriage in September 2022.

In a recent chat with Bustle, the Young Artist Award winner reflected on the tumultuous year that took a toll on her mental health while discussing her new book, “September Letters.” Although she didn’t directly mention her divorce from the real estate broker, the TV personality claimed her life was turned upside down on a particular day.
“In the past year, I’ve probably gone through the toughest mental health challenge I’ve ever faced. In one day, in a few hours, my life completely changed,” Snow confessed, as if to confirm that he never expected his breakup with the professional surfer.
“I was blind, and everything I thought I knew, held sacred, and truly believed in my life was completely different. A few days later, my grandmother passed away, and I felt like everything I knew about mental health was put to the test,” the Tampa native continued.
Although she was suddenly faced with an emotional loss, the “Guiding Light” star survived thanks to her amazing friends. Acknowledging the power of having a strong support system, the entertainer said:
“Thank God for my friends. I don’t know if I would have made it without them. They remind me of who I am and what I stand for. I use all the tools I know. All of them.”
Some of the friends responsible for keeping the 37-year-old going last year were his “Pitch Perfect” castmates. Talking about her a cappella sisters, Snow noted that their relationship extends beyond the big screen to real life.
“When you’re promoting a movie, it’s always like, ‘Oh, we’re all good friends, and we all love each other,’ because that helps sell the movie. But in this case, we, we can be close friends, if not family,” explained the blue-eyed goddess.
Recalling a heartbreaking moment from 2022, the co-founder of the Love Is Louder movement chose not to identify specific castmates who were instrumental in her recovery from her “complicated” divorce.
“Last year was tough for me, and one of the girls, I just, you know, opened her door, and I just fell on the ground and just cried and laid there,” the Tampa native revealed. “And he nursed me back to health for four days.”
Showering the unnamed “Pitch Perfect” star with praise, the anti-bullying advocate admitted that she never thought her co-stars would be able to provide the support that she did. This lesson was so important that Snow added it to his book.
“I think that’s what’s important about this book, knowing that what you can have in your toolkit is a community of friends who will just sit with you on the floor,” the media personality explained. “They don’t need to give you advice. They don’t have to fix it for you. They’re just there.”
‘Parachute’ Director Marks First Birthday After Divorce With Emotional Tribute
Before the heart-to-heart interview, Snow opened up about her breakup with Stanaland on her 37th birthday in March. The milestone marked the entertainer’s first trip around the sun after the former couple ended their two-year romance.
The “John Tucker Must Die” actor marked the occasion on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself in the backseat of a car. The TV personality wore a beige coat with beautiful hair cascading gently over her shoulders.

While the photo exudes sweetness, the Boston Film Festival Award recipient’s caption describes her bittersweet emotions. “This year has been difficult and beautiful. As I get older, I am stronger than I know (except my back seems weaker and more painful,)” wrote the humanitarian.
Despite the pain of her past, the “Would You Rather” actress says she’s grateful instead of wallowing in regret. “I am very grateful for everything today. Thank you for the birthday love, my friends,” the Teen Choice Award winner concluded her birthday message.
