Scout’s start to the new year on social media began with the singer sharing a touching photo of her ailing father Bruce.

The 32-year-old took to Instagram to post a carousel of photos of friends and family, featuring adorable moments of her cuddling up with her father.

In the image, Bruce is lying across what appears to be a bed, resting his head on a folded white towel. Scout, who was next to him, rested her head on his chest, with one hand on his tattooed shoulder, as she gazed at him lovingly. Bruce also slowly placed both hands on Scout’s face, as if caressing him gently.

In the caption, Scout added a statement revealing she’s shooting for great things this year. He wrote, “BIG YEAR FOR SCOUTS WELCOME TO JOY.”

All About Bruce Willis’ State of Dementia

In March 2022, the Willis family revealed that the actor was dealing with aphasia and had “retired” from acting. Then, in February of the following year, they revealed an additional diagnosis of Frontotemporal dementia—a progressive disease that leads to speech and language problems, blunted emotions, and changes in social behavior.

Fast forward to October, Willis’ friend Glenn Gordon Caron confirmed that the 68-year-old Die Hard star was no longer “fully verbal” and had lost “language skills.”

“He’s not completely verbal; he used to be a voracious reader — he didn’t want anyone to know — and he doesn’t read now,” said “Moonlighting’s creator at the time, per Page Six. “All those language skills are no longer available to him, yet he’s still Bruce.”

Since being diagnosed, Willis has made fewer and fewer public appearances and was last seen walking solo on the streets of Santa Monica last December.
