As obtained by CBS, investigators indicated that surveillance camera footage linked the accused to the location at the time of the crime. They added that several phone records contributed to considering Kohberger as the prime suspect in the case. In addition, police found and seized suspicious items such as gloves, hats, face masks and knives believed to belong to Kohberger after searching his parents’ home.
Bryan Kohberger Accused of Following Victim’s Instagram Account

Amid claims that Kohberger could not be linked to the crime, Kaylee Gonclaves’ parents, Steve and Kristi, revealed that the Ph.D. students have some connection to the murder victim. Kaylee was one of four students, including Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan, stabbed to death in the tragedy.
During their statement to CBS regarding the murder suspect, Steve and Kristi stated that Kohberger used to follow several students on Instagram. The couple explained that they found some evidence that Kohberger interacted with Maddie and Kaylee under accounts linked to him.

Kristi says, “You’ll go on Maddie’s Instagram account and see her pictures, and she likes them.” She added that Kohberger likes multiple photos and actively follows Maddie’s updates. “Bryan’s name is under a lot of Maddie’s pictures. The couple added that the account was no longer active because it was no longer on their daughter’s memorial day after Kohberger was arrested. Kristi explained, “By the time we got home from ‘Celebration of Life,’ it was gone … the Instagram account was gone.” This raised the grieving couple’s suspicions about Kohberger.
