California teen with history of mental health struggles vanishes during Denver layover on way home from treatment center

A California teenager with a history of mental health struggles disappeared during a layover in Colorado late last month.

Harper Cadman, 15, was last seen at Denver International Airport around 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 30, her mother, Ari Petronelli, wrote on Facebook.

Cadman – who was in the process of being transferred from treatment in Montana back to California – never made the connecting flight on United Airlines, his desperate mother explained.

His checked baggage reached Los Angeles, but Cadman was not heard from for nearly two weeks.

Authorities believe the teenager may now be in the Denver or Boulder area.

“My sister and I spent the last week searching Denver and Boulder, talking to detectives, defense attorneys, homeless people, and ‘street kids,'” Petronelli wrote.

“What we saw was a very cold, scary and dangerous situation for anyone but especially a 15-year-old girl at risk who was last seen wearing only a sweater with leggings and nothing,” he lamented.

“Harper didn’t know anyone in Colorado and had only been on vacation when he was 8 years old so he wasn’t familiar with the area,” Patronelli said, adding that Cadman had gone missing before.

The teenager is 5 feet, 7, inches tall and 115 pounds, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

He has blue eyes and dyed black hair, facial piercings, and tattoos on his waist and the middle finger of his left hand. He also has braces.

It is unclear why Cadman traveled without an escort.

Patronelli and the Denver Police Department did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
