The rapper was called out on Twitter over the weekend for promoting her husband, Offset’s latest single, in which she sings about gun violence. Cardi posted a clip of the song and a new video where one third of Migos is dressed as The Joker and holding a machine gun while rapping.
Comedian Nicole Arbor found Cardi’s video and promotion of it to be brutal given that Takeoff was just senselessly killed by a stray bullet during an argument.
“Man… weeks after his cousin was killed over a dice game… Offset made new music about shooting people and shooting places. Not a single thing learned,” the comedian tweeted.
This prompted Cardi to go on a tweet storm and the back and forth between the two began.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper made it clear he has no time for Arbor or any of his comments about the culture. “The fact that you are trying to use the death of someone I love to gain influence is insane …..I will not do any of that …. I’ll just pray for you,” he wrote on his own Twitter page but he stormed into Arbour’s comments. Including threats about the comedian’s mother joking about “she’s going to die”.
The comedian took the threat seriously and hit back at the “WAP” rapper where it hurt;
“Oh I said what I said,” he wrote. “Even though the video was made before it happened, you STILL didn’t see what happened? When you promote senseless violence in a community, you GET senseless violence in a community It’s sad when all these young men die, something has to CHANGE.”

Comedians and rappers have their team in their corner and no one backs down. “My eyes are twitching with terror…I must contain myself,” Cardi wrote. “DON’T DO IT GIRL!!! “Why are you glorifying Cardi B’s behavior but calling others bullies for acting like this?” asked one follower, clearly disgusted by the rapper’s behavior. “Thoughts and prayers to Cardi’s mom because that innocent woman has so much bad karma and energy coming her way,” another follower wrote.
Others believed that Arbor was desperate for greater fame and trashed him for using the rapper’s death as a way to attack someone who was technically still grieving. “You wake up thinking about Cardi. OBSESS.”
Others schooled Arbor on the type of rap he seemed to take great offense to and kindly told him to mind his own business.

The comedian thought he would be praised for bashing someone in a line of work he knew nothing about, in this case, he decided to accuse Cardi of photoshopping him into a racist video, specifically one that showed Arbor telling white people to “arm” themselves them. when looting and protests took place during the George Floyd protests.
