Cardi B revealed that the night she and her husband Offset found out about Takeoff’s murder was horrible. He told the story to Jason Lee on the “Hollywood Unlocked” podcast. “We were in bed,” Cardi shared pointing to a “horrible” phone call that came in late at night.
“We had just fallen asleep and out of nowhere, Offset’s phone kept ringing, my phone kept ringing,” he said. “Offset picked up the phone and he was just like, ‘No!’ And he screamed and screamed. And I was like, ‘What’s going on?'” Cardi recalled, “She was like, ‘Takeoff is dead.'”
Cardi had to “hit” her husband because he was so hysterical. “Don’t say that!” she remembers yelling at him.
Offset Has a Visceral Reaction

Cardi B went on to share that Offset was physically sick when she found out. “He just screams, throws things, vomits, runs around. I am really afraid. I just cried so much. It’s very bad.”
As soon as they found out about the news, he recalled the energy in his house changed instantly. “It was a very sensitive time in my house. I think it’s all so triggering. It was a lot,” he recalled of the sad moment.
Cardi and Offset have both shared moments on social media with Takeoff that were special to them and Cardi revealed that she needs to be stronger for her grieving husband.
Departed Was Killed In November

Departure real name Kirsnick Khari Ball was shot and killed on November 1st during a night out at a pool hall with his band member Quavo. An argument broke out between Quavo and several others after a dice game.
The gun was drawn, and shots were fired. Take off hit him in the body and head, unfortunately he is only 28 years old. Shortly after he died, Offset wrote a tribute on Instagram along with a photo of his cousin.
“My heart is broken, and I have so much to say, but I can’t find the words. I would go to sleep and wake up hoping that this was all a dream, but it was reality, and reality felt like a nightmare.”
Cardi B Opens Up About Leaving

The “Up” rapper shared how he’s doing emotionally amid the murders and drama surrounding him. She replied that she felt “despair” for herself and Offset. “We don’t want no sympathy. We’re not a charity case, but I’m not going to lie, I’ve been feeling really hopeless trying to make my husband happy, trying to make him smile,” she told Neighborhood Talk honestly.
The takeoff killer was arrested and charged, his name is Patrick Xavier Clark, 33. He posted $1 million bond and was released from jail on January 4. Clark maintains his innocence.
Neither Cardi nor Offset have commented on the arrest and are focused on getting over the murder.
