Although Carrie Fisher, who brought to life the character of Princess Leia in the “Star Wars” films, finally got her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, her only brother, Todd Fisher, may not be there to see it.

“It’s heartbreaking and shocking to me that I was intentionally left out of this important legacy event for my sister, Carrie,” Todd told TMZ on Tuesday. Carrie and Todd are the children of “Singin’ In The Rain” star Debbie Reynolds and “The Eddie Fisher Show” host Eddie Fisher.

The “Shampoo” actor was on a flight from London to Los Angeles on December 23, 2016, when he suffered a medical emergency about fifteen minutes before the plane landed. A passenger performed CPR on him until the plane landed.

The “Wishful Drinking” writer was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and immediately put on a ventilator. Unfortunately, after four days in intensive care, he died at the age of 60 on December 27, 2016. He is survived by a daughter, actress Billie Lourd.

On December 28, 2016, just one day after Carrie’s death, her mother, Debbie Reynolds, suffered a stroke while the family was preparing for Carrie’s funeral. He was rushed to hospital and died later that evening.

Carrie’s cause of death was initially listed as “cardiac arrest/delayed” by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. A few months later, the coroner’s office reported that the exact cause of death could not be determined, but listed “sleep apnea and the buildup of fatty tissue on the artery walls as contributing factors” to his death.

Todd Calls Guest List ‘Extremely Painful and Inconvenient’

On Tuesday, Todd said that he and Carrie were inseparable and that being insulted on the guest list hurt, given that he has spent his life working to honor and preserve his legacy in Hollywood.

She told the outlet that the insult was “very painful and sad because I’ve always been a big part of everything my sister and mother have done historically throughout their lives.”

Todd insists that he and Carrie attended Debbie Reynolds’ Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on January 13, 1997. The star’s address is 7021 Hollywood Blvd. They also attended the dedication of his signature together at the Chinese Theatre.

When he found out he wasn’t on the guest list, Todd said he and his team contacted the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which oversees the Walk of Fame plaque, to see why he didn’t get an invite. He said he was told the guest list was controlled by Disney, which currently oversees the “Star Wars” franchise.

Apparently, there were thirty seats to fill, and given Carrie’s legacy, they filled up quickly. “Frankly, it’s a difficult situation and I don’t deserve to be put in this position,” he told the outlet. “As Carrie Fisher’s only brother, being left out of this special day really hurts.”

He added that Carrie would have wanted him to be there at the ceremony, which will be held on Thursday, May 4. The day means a lot to Star Wars fans, as it is known as “Star Wars Day.” The holiday – “May The Fourth Be With You” – comes from a play on the iconic line, “May The Force Be With You.”
