Former CNN veteran David Bohrman was married to his wife Catherine Bohrman at the time of his death. The couple reportedly married on June 9, 1976.
David, who was 69 at the time of his death, died following complications following hip surgery, according to his family. Born in Hollywood, California, David had a long and distinguished career in television that began in local news in Los Angeles. Later, he rose to the position of senior vice president and Washington bureau chief of CNN after joining the network in 1998.
David, who also worked for ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and served as president of Current TV, is the creator of countless news programs. He studied mechanical engineering and art at Stanford University in California. Until he moved to Greenwich, Connecticut, where he was introduced to stone sculpture, he worked for Mattel Toys in the overseas manufacturing/design department.
Catherine then changed her medium and used sand casting and lost wax techniques to cast bronze. She recently participated in Manhattan Arts International Virtual “Her Story” 2020–2021, the Catharine Lorillard Wolf Art Club, and the Art Essex Gallery Virtual Invitational, and is currently exhibiting at the Commonwealth Gallery in San Francisco.
Oli Gallery in Guerneville, California, Riverfront Gallery in Petaluma, California, and Izen Miller Gallery in Palm Desert, California are now his representatives. Slides of her sculptures can be found in the Washington, DC, National Museum of Women in the Arts Archives. He entered the international art scene in 2010 thanks to the Dubai exhibition.
