Celine Dion received an unexpected blessing from the unfortunate events surrounding the ‘Titanic’ submarine!
As the world mourns the passengers of the underwater ship, many seem to have found comfort in the famous singer’s 1997 hit. When it comes to iconic female singers, there is no list that does not have the name “Queen of Power Ballads”. The Canadian sensation has dominated the industry since the 80s, singing millions of his soulful love songs.
The 55-year-old has released songs that encompass most of the emotions known to man, making him a relatable artist. This outstanding achievement seems to have inspired people to find his “Titanic” theme song, “My Heart Will Go On,” after the OceanGate crisis.
Celine Dion’s Beloved ‘Titanic’ Soundtrack Receives Streaming Boost Following Submersible’s Loss
OceanGate’s submarine, the Titan, caused a stir after five passengers dared to board the vessel to visit the remains of the Titanic. Since news of their disappearance emerged, Complex reports that the blonde beauty’s famous song has gone viral.
“My Heart Will Go On” became Dion’s anthem after the soundtrack was released for James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster “Titanic.” The emotional melody is said to have amassed a significant amount on Spotify because of the sinking tragedy.
According to reports, the theme song has collecting over 500,000 streams on the music platform since the search and rescue effort for the OceanGate vessel ended on a sad note.

The death of the passenger was confirmed shortly after the underwater wreckage was found. Following the tragic end of life, the filmmakers of “Titanic” voiced their grievances against OceanGate for seemingly causing this disaster. Complaining about organizational negligence in an interview, Cameron claimed:
“People in the community care a lot about this submarine. A number of prominent players in the engineering community are immersed in even writing letters to the company.”
According to the award-winning Canadian manufacturer, these experts warned providers of submersible expeditions that “what they are doing is too experimental to carry passengers and it needs to be certified.” Comparing this unfortunate incident to the 1912 sinking of the Titanic, the 68-year-old continued:
“I was struck by the parallels of the Titanic disaster itself, where the captain had been repeatedly warned of ice ahead of his ship, yet he steamed at full speed into an ice field on a moonless night, and many people died as a result.”
The Hollywood Walk of Fame honoree wasn’t the only celebrity to care about the submarine disaster as Joy Behar gave her unfiltered opinion on the issue. During an episode of “The View,” the co-host echoed similar sentiments to Cameron, linking the incident to the Titanic.
According to the 80-year-old man, both tragedies were caused by human “stupidity”. “It’s interesting because the Titanic itself went down because of human incompetence and stupidity on the part, according to the movies, arrogance, and the like,” claimed the mother of one.
“That’s the irony. They will see the same thing happen to them. It’s very sad and scary,” Behar added. On the other hand, one of the co-hosts with the media personality, Alyssa Farah Griffin, hopes that this ordeal can curb the adventurous nature of others.

The 34-year-old also wants OceanGate Inc. legally punished for harming others. However, another panelist, Sunny Hostin, explained that the organization would probably get away without any problems. Legal experts explained the passengers had signed a waiver warning them of the possibility of their death.
Counting Seconds To Oxygen Depletion Intensifies Search & Rescue Efforts
A few days earlier, rescuers stepped up their efforts to save the lives of the passengers of the Titan submarine as their oxygen reserves ran low. The United States Coast Guard has led an extensive manhunt for the OceanGate vessel since the vessel’s disappearance on Sunday, June 18.
The search team stepped up after hearing noises in the water on Tuesday, June 20, and again on Wednesday, June 21. Although experts have not been able to identify the source of the sound, rescuers hope it could be a signal from the submarine.
However, that small ray of hope was not enough to break through the dark clouds of impending doom as the passengers ran out of time. A US Coast Guard representative revealed the ship’s oxygenation is expected to be completed at 7:08 AM Eastern US time — 9:08 PM Sydney and 12:08 PM UK time — on June 22.
The countdown to oxygen depletion intensified search and rescue efforts as British, USCG, French and Canadian Navy forces stepped up. More ships and vessels were rushed to the location of the disappearance, hoping to find the five passengers in time.
