“He did everything to recover,” he shared. “She’s a strong woman.” The 74-year-old also described some of the symptoms of the rare disease, hinting at the pain his sister was going through. “It’s a disease we know very little about. There was a spasm – it was impossible to control,” he explained.

“You know [when] people often jump at night because of leg or calf cramps? It’s a bit like that, but in all the muscles,” added Claudette. “There is little we can do to support him, to ease his pain.”

Fans learned of Celine’s condition when she first broke the news in an emotional social media video explaining that she suffered from spasms that affected “every aspect of my daily life” and prevented her from using her vocal cords properly.

The “I’m Alive” star’s siblings also thought she had to cancel her Courage World Tour, insisting that Celine mostly needed a break because she was always trying to be the best she could be.
