Chahatt started his acting career in 2005 with the film, “The Film.” After that, she appeared in films like “7½ Phere..More Than a wedding,” “Ek Main Ek Tum,” “Thank You,” and “Prassthanam.”
He made his television debut in 2005 with the TV series, “Hero – Bhakti Hi Shakti Hai.” Some of his TV serials include “Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan,” “Kaajjal,” “Bade Achhe Lagte Hain” and “Qubool Hai”.

Accusing her husband of sexual abuse
Chahatt Khanna made headlines when she accused her ex-husband Farhan Mirza of sexual abuse in November 2018.
Named in Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar Case
In September 2022, it was reported that Chahatt Khanna met conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar in the jail premises and received cash and valuable gifts. Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar is detained in Tihar jail on Rs. 200 crore fraud case. Actors Nikki Tamboli, Sophia Singh, and Arusha Patil were also named in the same case. In February 2023, he reportedly received a legal notice of Rs. 100 crore from fraudster Sukesh who claimed that he damaged his reputation after giving a statement against him publicly. The actress spoke against him in court and with the media in January 2023 where she revealed that Sukesh proposed to her in 2018 when he met her in Tihar Jail and gave her Rs. 2 lakh as shagun; however, according to Chahatt, Sukesh then started blackmailing him over his visit to Tihar. Chahatt said,
I don’t want anyone to know that I am in Tihar jail. I was also worried that it would affect my marriage, so I agreed to give them the money. Among other things, it has affected my marriage, and my husband and I separated. Maybe I should approach the police and file a complaint. But things keep happening one after another and I just want to get out of it”
