Chaka Khan Has Nothing Nice To Say About Singers Who Use Auto-Tune

Singer Chaka Khan, born Yvette Marie Stevens, calls out artists who use auto tunes and wants them to find careers elsewhere. The famous diva is known for her songs like “Through the Fire,” “I Feel for You,” “Ain’t Nobody,” and several others.

Chaka, along with several celebrities, attended the 26th iteration of the Angel Ball which was held to raise money for Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation. The foundation was established to provide support to researchers, scientists and medical experts in their quest for a world without cancer.

The charity’s website reveals that around 92 cents of every fundraising dollar the Angel Ball provides will be donated to cancer-free causes.

During Monday night’s event, Chaka talked about artists who are forced to use auto-tune in their music. He advised that they withdraw from the music industry and find a job in the post office.

Chaka was among the many artists who attended and performed at the Angel Ball. While talking to Page Sixthe “I’m Every Woman” singer talks about music and how impressed she is with the quality of work some young artists are producing.

“There’s some great stuff out there, and there’s some great artists,” Chaka said. “There are some really good young artists out there doing great work that I admire.” The icon gets a little scathing when it comes to other musicians who rely on auto-tune to make music. According to the “Ain’t Nobody” singer, they need to take a job at the post office.

While speaking with VladTV in 2020, Chaka was asked what she thought about working with pop sensation Ariana Grande. The artist revealed that although he thought the young singer was “fine,” he had no intention of working with her or any other woman.

“Fuck him,” Chaka clearly said. “He is good himself. He doesn’t need me. Besides, I don’t want to sing with other women.” He said he prefers to deliver his message “by [herself].”

Despite his comments, the two recorded “Nobody” earlier as part of the latest “Charlie’s Angels” soundtrack. The song was released in 2019, and Chaka didn’t have any particularly good comments about it. When asked about the track, he said, “It’s not going to change the world, OK?”
