Charity Lawson recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the finale of “The Bachelor,” opening up about what makes her relationship with one of the men left, Dontun Olubeko, so special.
“When I look at Joey and Dotun — two guys who are standing strong, incredible, and our relationship is very different but also has a very similar core,” Lawson told The Hollywood Reporter, adding, “When I’m with Dotun, you just seeing this undeniable chemistry. It almost seemed like it was just something that was meant to be.
He added, “For me, throughout this whole journey, the way they were both so deliberate, and I never felt like I had to question why they were there, was huge. I’m confident with Dotun and Joey that I don’t have to worry about that at all .”
During Fantasy Suite week, Lawson really opened up to Olubeko, saying “It’s an absolute fairytale, like, really.”
He then spoke to the camera face to face, admitting, “What we created and wrote is the most beautiful love story. “My feelings were wrong in the past, but I hope with Dotun, that’s not the case.”

Olubeko opened up about her relationship and feelings for Lawson during Fantasy Week, telling the “Bachelor” lead, “[My head] is in line with where my heart is right now, at this point. The scary part is that I’m not scared. The way I care about you and how I feel about you when I see you, and hold you, is a clear sign to me. It’s scary how easy it is to say I really love you, Charity.”
Lawson later reciprocated the sentiment, opening up about their relationship. “I’m 100 percent in love with you, and being able to say, ‘I love you,’ that’s where I am. I don’t want to hold it back, and I won’t hold it back anymore,” Lawson told Olubeko, “And it feels so good to say that!”
Fans are eager to see how Lawson’s “Bachelor” journey ends as she has admitted to dating multiple men.
The 27-year-old continued to talk about her “Bachelor” journey, teasing that the ending will be filled with emotion.
“How do I navigate to the end?” Lawson said with a laugh. “You just have this feeling of knowing when something is right and what feels best, and you can’t shake it.”
