Speaking on “The Brilliant Idiots” podcast, Charlamagne clarified the allegations made by West when the rapper appeared on “The Drink Champs” podcast. West has said that Charlamagne has gone around telling people that his ex-wife Kim Kardashian was in a relationship with comedian Davidson because “he has bigger problems.”
In response to the rapper’s claims, Charlamagne revealed West himself sparked the thought during a phone call with him last year. The podcast host said West was trying to “get [him] on board to insult someone he knows my friend, Pete Davidson.”
Charlamagne also claimed that West started yelling at him after he reminded him of his friendship with the comedian.
“My wife is out here sleeping with a white boy with a 10 inch cock! And you won’t help me!” Charlamagne recounted snippets of the conversation on a podcast that aired Wednesday, Feb Insider.

Charlamagne also shared that West tried to use a bit of racial bias to emotionally blackmail him into dropping Davidson as a friend.
“You said I’m your friend? When are you supposed to be cultured?” podcaster remembers the encounter.
Although the rant of the phone call came as a bit of a surprise to Charlamagne, he shared that his reaction at the time was to “laugh,” because he couldn’t think of anything else to do. However, he ended up insulting West during the conversation.
“Don’t make me tell everybody why you’re so mad,” Charlamagne claims he told West during the conversation. Still recalling the meeting, Charlamagne called West “the ultimate manipulator” for trying to drive a wedge between him and Davidson for the rapper’s own benefit.

Charlamagne tha God has shared a tenuous relationship with the famous rapper over the past few years. The television personality has previously hosted the Donda crooner on shows like “Hell of a Week with Charlamagne tha God” and the daily radio show “The Breakfast Club,” which he co-hosts with DJ Envy.
But ever since West became famous for his online rants aimed at anyone on his mind, Charlamagne has often criticized the rapper for capitalizing on his mental issues for his own gain.
“Don’t weaponize your mental health fight,” Charlamagne once said on air in a conversation about West, per Insider. Earlier this year, he continued to criticize the West for being hypocritical and mixing social issues with his personal agenda.

West has recently come under fire for his anti-Semitic posts on Instagram and Twitter. He was subsequently suspended from both platforms for violating their rules and regulations. The rapper also drew public ire when he held YZY’s surprise performance in Paris wearing a shirt with the slogan “White Lives Matter.”
The rapper’s actions have recently started to take a toll on his finances, as seen by French fashion house Balenciaga’s decision to cut ties with him.
“Balenciaga no longer has any relationship with or plans for future projects related to this artist,” Kering’s parent company said in a press release per WWD.
In addition, West terminated his agreement with Gap Inc. last month, suggesting a hostile attitude that has also put his ten-year relationship with Adidas in jeopardy. On October 6, the German sportswear company said it was “reviewing” its relationship with the Yeezy brand.
Also recently, Vogue revealed that they no longer have any intention of working with the embattled rapper.
