Charley Hoffman Health Update: What Happened To Him? Weight Loss

Charley Hoffman’s health will definitely be better in 2024 than in 2023. Last year, he had surgery to remove a sun-damaged area on his hand, which turned out to be skin cancer. Hoffman didn’t win the WM Phoenix Open on Sunday, but he showed that he can still compete with some of the world’s greatest players. Following the loss, the American golfer learned that he had qualified for the Genesis Invitational.

Hoffman, 47, lost the title to Canada’s Nick Taylor, who won his fourth PGA Tour victory. Taylor won the Phoenix Open with three consecutive birdies on the 18th hole. Hoffman went 64-64 over the weekend to finish second, then fired a back-nine 32 on Sunday. It looked like Hoffman would win his first championship in eight years, but the wait has now been long.

Charley Hoffman Health Update 2024: Has He Lost Weight?

Charley Hoffman underwent skin cancer surgery in 2023, but his health seems to have improved dramatically since then. The golfer’s recent performances show that he is back to his best. Last year, on May 18, 2023, Hoffman uploaded an Instagram image showing off his surgically cut hand. In his Instagram post, Hoffman explained what happened to him.

Hoffman had a standard exam with her dermatologist two weeks before publishing the photo. Dermatologists found some badly sunburned skin. He wants to wait until the end of the season before doctors operate on him. However, he ultimately chose not to and underwent surgery because cancer was not something he wanted to play around with. He informed his supporters that the operation was a success and he will be back in action in a few weeks. In the caption, Hoffman said that he wanted to share the photo since it’s Cancer Awareness Month. He also advises his followers to use sunscreen and get tested regularly. Charley went on to say that he didn’t create the post to cause pity, but rather to raise awareness.

Before the surgery, Charley competed in the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament but did not advance. Charley returned to the US Open after surgery and finished T49.
