Charlie Puth is fed up with fans invading the artist’s privacy on stage!
The “We Don’t Talk Anymore” hitmaker has added his two cents to the ongoing conversation about concertgoers throwing objects at musicians during their sets on stage following an incident at Kelsea Ballerini’s just-concluded “Heartfirst Tour.” A tour participant has roused the entertainer, prompting the country pop singer and her official fans to release a statement condemning the act.
Charlie Puth Calls Out Object Throwers At Concerts
Puth has taken to social media to lash out at people who shower their favorite celebrities with things, sometimes thought of as gifts, asking them to stop. In less than 300 characters, the 2022 People’s Choice Award winner for Favorite Collaboration Song tweeted:
“The trend of throwing things at performers while they are on stage must end. (Bebe, Ava, AND NOW Kelsea Ballerini…) It is very disrespectful and very dangerous. Please just enjoy the music I’m asking for…”

Amidst nearly 400k views from Twitter users, the write-up led guitarist and songwriter Chris Holly to list the items he’d hit on during his “year of metal tour”.
A lot of things included “shoes, T-shirts, lighters, fruit slices from mixed drinks, condoms, mini bottles, handbags, toy action figures, returned prosthetics, flasks, frisbees, CD demos, fellow humans, random foods like wings chicken,” and “many different hats.”
An observer demanded“I don’t know what happened to those people… Maybe they should give a deep lesson so people don’t copy them…” Third person chorus “Well, Charlie…it boggles the mind why “fans” do this. Harry Styles also hit the spot with Skittle. Thanks for speaking up!”
“To any artist it’s very rude but anyone throwing stuff at @KelseaBallerini betta watch out,” a fourth fan be warned.
Earlier this week, Ballerini was hit by an object — believed to be a bracelet — from the crowd while performing her 2022 single, “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too),” at Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise, Idaho, as part of his visit.
In a clip recorded and shared online by a fan, the 29-year-old singer is seen turning away from the crowd and having a brief chat with her violinist before exiting the stage. After a short break, we assumed to check out, and he returned to the stage to address the audience.
“Can we talk about what happened? All I care about is keeping everyone safe. If you feel unsafe, please tell someone around you. If someone is too pushy or you just have that feeling, just always flag it. Don’t throw things away. You know?,” he said to the concert audience.

The CMT Music Awards winner’s official fan page also released a statement condemning the act and asking gig-goers to find better ways to safely hand over their belongings.
Another Singer-Songwriter Attacked By Stranger On Stage: ‘He Slapped Me Hard’
In addition to Ballerini, Ava Max — real name Amanda Ava Koci — was also punched in the face by a concertgoer. Everything seemed normal for the “Sweet but Psycho” singer when she performed in Los Angeles last month until she was slapped by an audience member.
The heartbreaking moment, caught on tape by another fan, shows the moment the 29-year-old was unexpectedly punched in the face by an unknown man. The assailant was quickly subdued and removed from the premises by vigilant security who were watching the scene.
Undeterred, Max paused to acknowledge the incident and returned to his dance routine. The upload was captioned, “Someone jumped on stage at the end of tonight’s show in Los Angeles. This is a reminder that this behavior is unacceptable. Sending all our love to Ava and her crew.”
Max himself addressed the situation on Twitter, writing, “He slapped me so hard he scratched the inside of my eye. He won’t be coming to the show again ??thanks to the fans for a great show tonight in LA!!❤️.”
