Chuck Lorre is officially set to team up with Charlie Sheen again in a new series for HBO Max (or whatever it will be called at the time) called How to Become a Bookie. It will star comedian Sebastian Maniscalco.

Diversity is reporting the news and says that both Warner Bros. and HBO Max did not return their calls for comment this may be because the show’s creators and actors had a strange relationship when they worked together last time.

Sheen stars Two and a Half Men for eight seasons before having an “explosive” falling out with Lorre on set. Sheen was also seen on top of the Live Nation building with a machete and a bottle of alcohol, he seemed to celebrate the partnership to have some phases that he sprayed at the time put the goods and sold. Remember “Win” and “Tiger Blood”?

Charlie Sheen Has a Public Confusion

The actor flattered Lorre with his on-set antics and some very difficult seasons due to Sheen’s alleged drug and alcohol abuse. After that, after he was fired from the show, he basically went on a tour trashing Lorre and CBS.

Sheen did an interview with ABC News where he continued to publicly trash Lorre and talk about the fact that the show’s co-creators chose to kill him off without the potential for him to come back and ruin the show again.

Sheen was famously replaced by Ashton Kutcher and the show continued for four more seasons before ending its run. To everyone’s surprise, Sheen appeared in the final episode, and as it turns out, his character isn’t dead anymore.

But in another shocking twist, the piano fell on his head leaving him dead dead. When Sheen reappeared on the show, it wasn’t clear if he and Lorre had worked out their issues or if Sheen was brought back because of the show’s nostalgia and for the fans.

For some reason, Sheen got the chance to work with Lorre again in another sitcom but unlike before, he was not in the spotlight. How to Become a Bookie has been locked in eight episodes so far.

In addition to Chuck Lorre, the show was co-created by Nick Bakay. Star Maniscalco will play “a veteran bookie who struggles to survive the impending legalization of sports gambling, his increasingly unstable clients, family, colleagues and a lifestyle that bounces him around every corner of Los Angeles, high and low.”

Other actors rounding out the cast include Omar J. Dorsey, Andrea Anders, Vanessa Ferlito, and Jorge Garcia. Lorre and Bakay will also serve as executive producers and while Sheen has a small role, it’s not clear if it’s more in the supporting category or an episode arc guest spot.

What we do know is that Lorre knows how to create a sitcom, Two and a Half Men won several Emmys
