“What we’re not going to do is lie down and get back at anybody, and we’re going to air it,” Chase declared. The person involved seems to be the source of spreading the word about his family’s issues. However, the 27-year-old claims the new show will stop these unsolicited narrators.
“With everything we’ve been through, there are a lot of people who have spoken and tried to tell our story for us, so we better get out there and tell it ourselves,” he said. the entrepreneur explained to Extra.
According to Chase Chrisley Collection founder, some of the stories that will be shared in the untitled series are his parents’ prison dilemma and how the family copes with their absence while navigating their own lives.
Regarding Todd and Julie’s incarceration on fraud charges, their eldest son claims the couple is stuck in bad conditions despite people believing they are in a “country club jail.” Grieving her parents’ condition, the reality TV star revealed:
“My mother is sitting there without air, and my father’s facility is without air. Both have black mold, lead based paint, drop roofs on both facilities. So it’s just, it’s just a lie.”
Chase also said the unscripted program will have scenes of the family communicating with the incarcerated couple over the phone or going for a visit. When asked if his siblings were worried about sharing the dark side of their story, the 27-year-old confirmed he had no doubts.
“I’m sure you’re aware that no one in my family has a filter, so we can really give a damn about anything anyone else says or thinks. We have a broken system; we know that. It’s just our turn to experience it first hand,” quipped the entertainer.
