Cher recently told her fans exactly where she stands in regards to conservator Britney Spears during a recent interview with Extra. The 77-year-old singer said she didn’t “think it was right” what her father, Jamie Spears, did to the Princess of Pop following her public mental health breakdown in 2007.
“I don’t think what his father did was right because it seemed to serve him, regardless of the help he needed and needed. I heard something, but no matter what, you love your kids and sometimes you have to intervene,” she said, adding, “I didn’t like it, so I wanted to tell her that I’m watching and I’m listening. “

Both Cher and Britney Spears had residences in Las Vegas at the same time. While the two were in the same city, Cher admitted that she knew something with Britney was “not right.” He said that others could feel it too.
“When we’re in Vegas, everybody on the Strip knows. We don’t know how deep it is, but we know something is not right,” he said. “You know, everybody’s going to say, ‘He’s on medication,’ but not enough to not be able to work, and when people talk, they multiply things, but I know there’s a certain basis, there’s a grain of truth to that, but it bothers me.”

It’s been rumored that Britney Spears will drop a new song, or maybe even an album, to coincide with the release of “The Woman In Me,” but it looks like that might not be the case after all, since Tuesday came and went without any new songs. However, Cher, who has been making music since 1965, shows no signs of slowing down.
She was recently spotted at Paris Fashion Week with music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards. The two collaborated on his “Christmas” album, which is available now. “Alexander asked me to sing again, like when we met, because I was ambivalent and he brought me some songs. Then the whole Christmas album came out,” he recalls.
Although he has rejected making a holiday album in the past, he has finally decided that 2023 is his year to release it. “This has to be the right time because I’ve been asked about it forever and going back to the Sonny and Cher days,” he says, adding, “It’s a really weird Christmas album. All tracks are their own little islands. Nothing seems to fit, but when you hear it, it works.”

Alexander also asked his close friend Tyga to duet with Cher on the single “Drop Top Sleigh Ride,” which Cher hinted might be one of the album’s best. He said, “I love it. It’s probably my favorite song. It was also like, nobody would think of me with that song somehow, and then when T came on, everybody was like, ‘What is this?’”
Reflecting on some of the greats in the industry, Cher also remembered the legendary Tina Turner who passed away earlier this year. She recalled how the two had shared a special relationship, explaining, “We have a special relationship because we were both younger when we got married and both of our husbands were bosses…”
“The first time she did my show she was with Ike and it was a completely different Tina… Sonny wasn’t, but she was the boss,” he said. “And he wanted to know how I got on and I said, ‘I just got out.'”
