Kathleen first appeared in the London version of Andy Warhol’s play ‘Pork’ under the stage name Cherry Vanilla. Tony Ingrassia directed the play. He took part in several other theater productions before joining MainMan LTD as David Bowie’s publicist in the early 1970s. During her tenure with David Bowie, Kathleen began to be recognized for her crazy marketing methods. One of the strangest things he did was an open invitation to perform oral sex on any DJ playing Bowie’s music.
He is successful in his career and doesn’t mind taking extra steps to get it. Her relationship with David Bowie ended in 1974. She later founded her first band under her own name, followed by ‘Cherry Vanilla & her Staten Island Band’ in 1976.
