On Thursday, former “Dancing with the Stars” pro Cheryl Burke shared a farewell message on social media to her Hollywood Hills residence, which has been her home for the past 16 years.
He expressed his excitement for a new beginning and mentioned that he was starting a new chapter. Earlier this week, she revealed her plans to move, revealing some DWTS memorabilia while sorting through the boxes.

Revealing that she’s finally moved to a new place, Burke took to Instagram to post multiple throwback slides. In the first image, she dazzles in a black cutout bodycon dress, matching shiny court shoes and purse.
She was next spotted in a black tube dress at dinner before her, “Kevin Can Wait” star Leah Remini, and “Dangerous Force” actress Nicole Wolf appeared with big smiles on their faces.

Another slide shows her in a boxing session with friend Nicholas Vierra, sitting on a couch with model and “DWTS” star Kelly Monaco, stunning in a champagne lace cocktail dress, filming and hanging out with other friends. Underneath the bittersweet photo, the Filipino-American celebrity wrote a lengthy caption that began:
“Goodbye to the Hollywood Hills ? Looking back on my home of 16 years, and all the memories it made. From my old days after parties in my 20s (pre sobriety) to filming a live episode of DWTS with @codyrigsby when I got Covid. It is bittersweet to say goodbye to the home that helped me grow into the woman I am today.”
Concluding, the dark-haired queen wrote, “To all the beautiful people who helped create memories in this house, thank you for sharing this special place with me. I’m sad to say goodbye but excited for this new chapter. Lots of love.”
Reaction to the post was overwhelming and immediate, with Terri Cole stating in the comments section, “I’m so excited for you, beauty!” along with the fire emoji, raise your hand and clap.

As mentioned above, Burke initially announced that he was saying goodbye to his old home after 16 years there. As he tells it, in a video he shared via Instagram:
“I said goodbye to my home. I’ve been here 16 years, and with that comes a lot. [I’m] overwhelmed, and I don’t have much time, friends. I mean, 30 days escrow.”
After this introduction, he revealed some of the treasures he found during his packing process. These include magazines featuring stories about her, compact discs she and her “DWTS” co-stars used to practice, and old newspaper clippings featuring herself and her dance partners.
As expected, Burke’s post received a lot of response from fans, with many praising her decision to change scenery.

Just before packing up, the 39-year-old celebrated entering his sixth year of sobriety with a selfie showing his true self, he captioned it:
“It’s been 5 years since I started my recovery journey. As I entered my 6th year I realized I had found a new purpose that I never thought existed. The great thing about sobriety is that it’s not always a straight line of progress & like most things in life it comes with rough patches.”
He explained that sobriety made a significant difference in his life, especially by giving him “a heightened awareness” when facing difficulties.
This newfound clarity allows him to see his loved ones, colleagues and friends for who they really are. After pointing out that she has learned to practice forgiveness and judge herself less, she wraps up:
“One thing I try to practice is forgiveness & less judgment when it comes to my past actions, current feelings or my addictions. Instead of judging myself today, I can say that I am actually grateful for the way I handled everything that happened in front of me because my body, mind & soul only protected me.”
