Cheryl Burke Remembers All Her ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Partners In Touching Tribute

After her recent exit from “Dancing With The Stars,” Cheryl Burke has paid tribute to her many celebrity friends who have danced with her over the years.

After hinting at it for months, the professional dancer finally announced that she will not be returning to the show after the recently concluded 31st season. He stayed true to his word, making his final bow at the end of the season, which aired on the Disney+ streaming platform on November 21.

Cheryl Burke Pays Tribute To Dance Partners, Including Rob Kardashian

Cheryl Burke was spotted at DWTS dance rehearsals for Season 30MEGA

Over the weekend, Burke posted a set reel for the Goo Goo Dolls’ 1998 song, “Iris,” to Instagram. The clip features numerous images of the 38-year-old and his 24 celebrity dance partners such as Jack Osborne, Ian Ziering, Terrell Owens, and Rob Kardashian.

The California-born beauty also highlighted mirrorball trophy wins in seasons two and three with dance partners Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith, respectively. Burke, who has compared her exit from ‘DWTS’ to her divorce, began the following post:

“To all my dance friends who have each played an important role in my life, THANK YOU. Thank you for the life lessons, for trusting me with your vulnerability, and for ALWAYS giving every dance you all.”

She mentioned that although they had “a time of blood, sweat, and tears,” she was confident that none of her dance partners had “ever let me down.” The “Dance Moms” star ended the caption by writing, “thanks again for believing in me, letting me shape you into a dancer, and for an amazing journey that I will never forget. LOVE YOU ALL!”

Over 12,000 fans have liked the “Dancing Lessons” author’s heartfelt post, and over 200 others have commented. Many took the opportunity to praise her, with one person commenting, “I’ve watched you since day one and always thought how talented, beautiful and amazing you are. I will miss you.”

The Blast previously shared that Burke touched on her departure from the series with a throwback photo of herself in a red dress, dancing. “I’m sitting here full of conflicting emotions about the words I’m about to write…” she began her sentimental caption. Continuing, he wrote:

“Tomorrow night will officially be my last dance as a pro dancer on @dancingwiththestars. This was one of the hardest decisions of my life & I am also convinced that it was the right decision. This show has been my 2nd family since I was 21 years old. The cast, crew & fans have seen me through my highs & some of my lows, & I honestly don’t know who I am today without them.”

He expressed his excitement to focus on his “ability to expand” his commitment to “mental health advocacy” and focus on his “newfound love for podcasting.” Regarding his exit, Burke explained:

“Honestly I’m not sure how I’m going to get through it without tears but even with the heartache & emotions, I’m grateful for the opportunity to perform this dance.”

He concluded that he was looking forward to the next chapter in his career, adding, “but this guy is hard to beat! Until next time…Love you all, always & forever xx.”

2006 Prime Time Emmy Winner’s Decision To Leave ‘DWTS’ Takes Time

While it may seem like Burke’s decision to leave ‘DWTS’ was a little hasty, The Blast shared earlier this month that it was anything but. The “I Can Do That” star opened up about the difficulty of making the decision to leave the competition on an episode of her “Burke in the Game” podcast.

After mentioning the public’s curiosity about whether season 31 will be his last on the ABC show, the two-time champion said, “The answer to that question is probably yes; this is my last season, as a dancer, that is. Being a part of a show for 26 seasons, it was tough for me [to leave].”

The 2005 San Francisco Latin Champion revealed that his continued return to his beloved ballroom may have something to do with the challenge of saying “goodbye to the show and the family” he’s known for more than two decades.

She explained that although she will stop dancing on the show in a professional capacity, she is more than willing to land on the show as a judge or host.
