Chetan Salunkhe was born into a lower middle class Marathi Family in Pune City Maharashtra in 1999 (age 19; as at 2018). He is also popular with the nicknames Chain and Popping Badshah. Salunkhe grew up in a slum in the city of Pune. At a very early age, Chetan was inclined towards dancing. In her childhood, she used to dance in the streets of her area and was often praised by the people of her area.
Chetan Salunkhe used to imitate the dance moves of famous dancers including Prabhu Deva, Govinda, and Michael Jackson.
She considers herself a self-taught dancer. On the recommendation of his friends and relatives, Chetan started participating in various dance shows.

Career
In 2018, Chetan participated in Maharashtra Dance; dance reality show, which airs on ZEE Yuva.
Later, she auditioned for Dance Plus 4; another dance reality show, which airs on Star Plus. In the first three auditions, he could not be selected. However, he was selected in his fourth audition.
On the show Dance Plus 4, she received huge support; both from the audience as well as his friends & relatives, especially his grandmother who actively campaigned for him.

In February 2019, she was declared the winner of the dance TV reality show “Dance Plus 4.” Apart from the trophy, he also won ₹25 lakh in prize money.

My mother had taken several loans which we could not pay so I had to drop out of school and work after 10th standard. I asked mom to give me one chance to participate in this show but I never thought I would win.”
