He attended Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School (SGRR), Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He enrolled himself for an MBA course, but he left the course in between. In an interview, while talking about quitting his MBA degree in between, he said,
Ekta Kapoor saw me during my MBA and offered me a role in her TV serial. I then decided to quit my MBA and accepted his offer. I am very happy with my decision to quit my MBA for acting. I was forced by my parents to further my studies but I was always interested in doing challenging things. So when I got the chance to act I grabbed it.”
Later, he attended Mumbai University.
