The Kick-Ass the actress shared that in the past she wasn’t too affected by what people said about her because she knew it wasn’t true and understood that being an actress comes with rumours. However, when the conversation turned to her body, it made her feel extremely uncomfortable.
“For a long time I could be the Chloë that people see and the Chloë that I am in person,” she shared with Hunger magazine.
“Then those two worlds collided and I felt so raw and vulnerable and open,” she explains. And then came the onslaught of horrible memes that started being sent to me about my body.

The actor’s body is being scrutinized for ugly paparazzi shots. “There was a meme that really affected me, I walked into a hotel with a pizza box in my hand,” he said. “And this photo has been manipulated into a character from Family Man with long legs and a short body, and it was one of the most widespread memes of the time.”
She realizes that everyone is making fun of her body and it suddenly makes her realize that people are aware. The Greta actress started the business at the age of 12, for her, her body was the last thing on her mind as she played cool roles like Hit Girl.

The meme features the main character Peter Griffin in a cutscene where he is a woman with long legs and a blonde wig. The character is nicknamed “feet up”. Passers-by are afraid of him because he doesn’t have just a trunk. They screamed and ran away from the character. You can see why Moretz is a bit disturbed.

Moretz admitted that when he had had enough, he chose to call out someone who was laughing about the meme right in front of him, but it didn’t go over well at all. “Everybody was making fun of my body and I brought it up to somebody and they were like, ‘Oh, shut up, it’s funny,'” she recalled.
The flashback put the actor in a weird headspace and he was scared. “I just remember sitting there and thinking, my body is being used as a joke and it’s something I can’t change about who I am, and it’s all over Instagram.”
The hate was difficult for the young actor mostly because it seemed like everyone collectively agreed that it was true. “It’s as good as walking into a hotel with leftovers. And to this day, when I see that meme, it’s something that’s really hard for me to get over.”
He wasn’t going to let it break him! The Susperia star has tools that help him get past the painful side of being famous.
“I have a goal to be behind the camera,” he says and for him, acting is “a form of therapy.” What he says is, he is goal oriented and that keeps him focused and distracted from negative things.
