Chris Harrison reveals he has a famous Bachelor Nation figure in his corner!
Harrison faced countless criticism nearly two years ago after he defended then-contestant on “The Bachelor,” Rachael Kirkconnell. Photos of Kirkconnell during his college years in which he was seen attending southern fraternity parties have previously surfaced while Kirkconnell has been competing for Matt James’ heart on the series, and the franchise host expressed his displeasure to Rachel Lindsay during an interview with Additional.
That criticism led to Harrison’s decision to step away from the franchise after nearly two decades at the center of Bachelor Nation.
After keeping a low profile since the incident in early 2021, Harrison recently returned to the spotlight when he launched a podcast called “The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever.” One of Harrison’s main intentions for the podcast was to reveal his side of the famous Bachelor Nation exit.
On the latest episode of the podcast, Harrison revealed the identity of the Bachelor Nation main character who gave him some grace. Although Harrison noted that she and the mysterious ‘Bachelor’ figure aren’t exactly the best of friends, she feels “very grateful” to him.
Read on to find out who Harrison is referring to, and what they did to keep the former host of the ‘Bachelor’ franchise feeling positive during dark times.
Harrison’s Defense Against Kirkconnell Will Be a Key Moment in Bachelor Nation History
Harrison would lobby for Kirkconnell to be given a chance to speak after the old photo surfaced, in his Extra interview, hosted by Lindsay.
“… it’s really worrying to watch this,” Harrison said, referring to the extent of the criticism Kirkconnell has received. “I haven’t heard Rachael talk about this yet! And until I hear this woman has a chance to speak, who am I to say all this?”
Lindsay would later try to reiterate why Bachelor Nation was so apt to criticize Kirkconnell, and Harrison’s response to Kirkconnell attending an antebellum southern fraternity party, would not only land him in hot water but be the reason for his end. out of the Bachelor’s Country.
“Well, Rachel, is it a ‘good look’ in 2018, or is it not a good look in 2021,” Harrison asked in response to Lindsay calling Kirkconnell’s past actions “not a good look.”
Important Bachelor Nation Figures Defend Harrison And His Character After Controversy
Some members of Bachelor Nation have reacted positively to the launch of Harrison’s podcast on Instagram after it was announced last month. Another member of Bachelor Nation has reportedly always had Harrison’s back, despite the backlash.
Harrison brought up former ‘Bachelor’ Nick Viall on the latest episode of “The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever,” and revealed how the newly engaged Viall stood behind him.

“Nick is my friend,” Harrison explained. “Nick was very supportive of me when I was going through all of this. He defends my character, I’m on his podcast, we talk from time to time, like he said, we’re not besties, we don’t hang out every day, we don’t barbecue all the time, but I consider him a friend,” Harrison continued. “And he really stood up for me, and he allowed people to come to his show and stand up for me, and for that, I’m very grateful, and I appreciate it.”
Harrison then went on to reveal how “no shade” was thrown at Viall in Harrison’s defense, and he has learned why; Viall allegedly didn’t want any negative press to overshadow his recent engagement to girlfriend of two years, Natalie Joy. Harrison did not disclose the specific time period in which Viall’s defense allegedly took place.
As of this writing, Viall has yet to respond to Harrison’s comments or comment on his story that he and fiancée Lauren Zima had FaceTimed Viall after the engagement. Viall and his now fiancé announced their engagement last week.
