Chris Pine is telling everyone to take a chill pill when it comes to “Spitgate 2022.”

The “Don’t Worry Darling” actress is setting the record straight about what really happened between her and Harry Styles at the Venice Film Festival.

It looked like the singer let a little something go and Pine’s reaction screamed “WTF.”

A few days after the video went viral, Pine and Styles talked about it.

A representative for Pine said Many peoplethe video creates unnecessary drama.

“This is a ridiculous story – a complete fabrication and the result of an outlandish online illusion that is clearly fraudulent and allows for foolish speculation,” the statement said. “Just to be clear, Harry Styles did it not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”

Styles jokingly addressed it during one of his Madison Square shows.

In a now-deleted video from Twitter, Styles said, “This is our 10th show at Madison Square Garden, it’s wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to be back here,” the British singer told his fans while opening the show. “I just came to Venice to spit on Chris Pine but never fear, we’re back!”

Pine told Esquire, “Harry didn’t spit on me. Harry is a very good man.”

He admitted the interaction, which did not involve spitting, was considered aggravating.

“I think Harry looked down and said, ‘It’s just words, isn’t it?'” Pine recalled.

He said that the singer leaned down to tell him “a little joke.”

Pine added, “We’re all jet lagged and trying to answer questions. And sometimes when you do this newspaper thing, your brain gets confused and you start talking gibberish, so we joke: ‘It’s just words.'”

The press tour for ‘DWD’ was full of drama given Wilde’s relationship with Styles and the alleged feud between him and actress Florence Pugh.

Styles and Wilde met on the set of ‘DWD’ while she was still with her longtime partner, Jason Sudeikis.

Things between the former couple, who share two children together, came to an abrupt end in November 2020.

The “Ted Lasso” star admitted he didn’t have a clear understanding of the end of their relationship when Wilde and Styles were seen holding hands at Styles’ friend’s wedding.

Wilde and Styles’ romance not only rocked Sudeikis, but it reportedly annoyed one of their co-stars.

A source told Page Six that Styles’ on-screen wife in ‘DWD,’ Pugh, was not at all happy with Wilde and the singer hooking up.

“I can tell you the truth Flo [Pugh] “Seeing Olivia and Harry on top of each other isn’t very exciting because Olivia was still with Jason when she first got together with Harry,” an insider told the outlet.

At the time of Wilde and Sudeikis’ split, sources claimed her affair with the former One Direction member had been going on for at least a month, leaving the ‘SNL’ alum “disappointed”.

“Jason and the kids visited Olivia on set at the beginning a few times, so I think this all made people feel a little uncomfortable,” the insider claimed.

Fans and internet sleuths alike noticed that Pugh did not give one of Wilde’s posts a “like” on social media. Pugh’s actions or lack thereof raised even more eyebrows, as the post was an official trailer for their film.

Wilde followed it up by posting a photo of Pugh with the comment: “Watching this woman work is a thrill! Can’t wait to show you more. @florencepugh@dontworrydarling.”

That same day, Pugh posted about another project he was working on, “Oppenheimer.”

While things between Pugh and Wilde appear to be rocky, the “Little Women” actress has nothing but great things to say about Styles.

While attending the blue carpet for the opening of Tiffany and Co. in London, he praised the professionalism of his co-stars.

Pugh said he was “a professional and it was a great experience to work with.”

Again, he had nothing to say about Wilde as director and co-star.
