Chris Pratt shared incredible details about his fading romance with his wife of nearly five years, author Katherine Schwarzenegger.
The couple, who share two beautiful children, became an item in 2018 and tied the knot in June of the following year.
And while they’re not the type to talk about their happy marriage in public, Pratt recently did the opposite, giving an interesting insight into how he and his now-wife met.

During a recent appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the Minnesota native recounts her first meeting with her partner, which led to a whirlwind love story.

“I met Katherine, now five, maybe six years ago,” he said on the episode. “And God has a fast-forward button, but when it’s right – boom, you’re hit. You fall in love; you are married.” Before meeting Schwarzenegger, the “Wanted” actress was at a point in her life where she was struggling and “felt heartbroken.”
He admitted as much, adding that his healing journey was about “finding a higher power and leaning into that and feeling like, ‘Please save me,'” After that, he was saved and soon after met “the woman of my dreams.”
Discussing how things worked out for her and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter, Pratt elaborated, “It’s all about timing, you know. There is a perfect plan out there for you, and I think you just have to have faith, and if you have faith, it will come true.”
When asked about his first meeting with Schwarzenegger in a “place of faith,” he recalled, “We met in a church. I was in the front row of the church, which is like you don’t want to be like, ‘Wow, who is that? In a church. You know what I mean?”
He continued, “But I sneaked a look and wondered, ‘Who is it? Anyway, what am I doing? Come on; I’m broken; Help me. But who is it?'” Adding more details, he shared, “So we kind of rushed — and we didn’t start dating right away, but we met there and then ended up going out.”
The host, Drew Barrymore, then asked if it was a quick connection between the lovers, and she confirmed that it was “quick,” adding, “It’s like, okay, it all makes sense. You know when you’re doing a puzzle, and there’s a piece, and you’re like, ‘I’m sure that’s the piece,’ and then you block it, and it looks like it’s supposed to be the piece – you’re like, ‘Oh that’s the one.'”
The “Jennifer’s Body” actress admitted, “It just fits together. You’re like, ‘Oh, it fits because it’s a part that was made to fit there.’ It feels that way.”

Pratt and Schwarzenegger dated for about a year after he called off his first eight-year marriage to fellow movie star Anna Faris. The former couple publicly announced their breakup via social media with matching posts expressing disappointment.
In November 2018, the divorce was finalized, but in early June, Pratt and Schwarzenegger were seen picnicking after reportedly communicating for months. The author’s mother, Maria Shriver, is said to have set the pair up, leading to more dates and their eventual public kiss in July 2018.
Then in December, they went Instagram official and took a vacation together in Mexico for New Year’s Eve before getting engaged the following month.

Although Pratt and his ex-wife seem to be on good terms despite their divorce, he excluded her from his International Women’s Day tribute, prompting a backlash from fans. The 43-year-old actress took to Instagram on a particular day with a group photo of her partner, mother-in-law, Shriver, and sister-in-law, Christina, all dressed in black.

“We wouldn’t be anything if it weren’t for the women in our lives,” he wrote in the caption. “From my wife, mother and sister to all the incredible women on my team who hold it together every day.”
He added a note of acknowledgment for his wife and mother-in-law but failed to mention Faris, who fans pointed out in the comments section, slamming him for “forgetting” the woman who gave birth to his son.
One such commenter stated on Twitter, “Why is it that when Chris Pratt talks about his wife and kids now, it looks like he’s making fun of Anna Faris and their kid together? Lol.”
