The star of the luxury real estate Netflix reality show has never been one to keep quiet or sweep the inner workings of the Oppenheim Group under the rug. In our recent Blast coverage, we saw the latest trailer for season six (which premiered today!), and the cast didn’t mince words when it came to describing the season.

At one point in the video, Stause jokes, “We all need therapy.” While her co-star Mary Fitzgerald-Bonnet was on the promotional circuit for the sixth season, she shared her fears of an extra dose of drama after new agent Bri Tiesi joined the cast.

One element of season six that will undoubtedly give Stause a break from the constant drama is the addition of her new partner and partner of the year, G Flip.

G Flip’s introduction to the world of “Selling Sunsets” comes at a transitional period for Stause; she and Jason Oppenheim have broken up, and viewers have seen their relationship end on camera. She introduced her relationship with the Australian musician during the season five reunion and has kept fans in the know during the off-season on social media.

The newlyweds have been quiet about expressing their love for each other on social media, and their love for each other is appreciated among Stause’s friends.

Shortly after the couple’s surprise wedding, Stause opened up about how her partner helped manage her anxiety during the high-pressure shoot. Ahead of the sixth season’s release, Stause sat down with Them magazine and shared insights about her relationship and her journey in finding and embracing her sexuality.

“If you haven’t seen G in concert, I highly recommend it,” Stause said at one point in an interview. “They’re going on tour this year, and they’re, in my opinion, sexy to anyone, no matter what your sexuality is.”

Even the most casual viewer of “Selling the Sunset” might be aware of its dramatic nature; the feeling of constant underlining tension can sometimes feel like an extra Oppenheim Group agent!

G Flip’s presence on set (they’ll be on camera during the season) is a big help for Stause, who finds herself in the middle of a dramatic storyline with cast member Christine Quinn who has died in past seasons.

(light season six spoilers ahead!)

The outlet reports that G Flip comforted Stause during episode one by reminding him of the highlights of his life outside of work and introducing him to playing drums in their studio.

G Flip reportedly told Stause, “Calm down in a bubble of peace and don’t let anyone show up,” as a tip for staying grounded in a very cliquey environment.

Stause didn’t hide his feelings when he told the outlet, “Oh my gosh, if I didn’t have G during the filming of those two seasons, I think I’d just have to be put in a padded room.”

The couple was also able to find a way to try to prevent the on-camera drama from negatively affecting their relationship, which is an aspect that Stause was very worried about their relationship going public. The two agreed only to “only positive movie scenes and only focus on their relationship.”

“Love is a beautiful thing,” Stause added later in the interview, “and no one should stop themselves from exploring it.”

And love is the main factor that allows Stause to look forward to a post-reality TV life with the G Flip, with a beautiful vision that seems far removed from the elements of the camera and the anxiety-inducing fame.

He described the scene in the store, showcasing the couple’s paradise. In addition to plenty of space for G Flip to record and play their music and for Stause’s dog to live in luxury, Stause revealed his hope for heaven would mean a “quiet life” living on a “farm”.

Meanwhile, sales for the sprawling farm may be in Stause’s “Selling the Sunset” future.
