Chrissy Teigen Reacts To News Of Rep. George Santos’ Criminal Charges

Chrissy Teigen has had the best laugh over Rep.’s legal expenses. George Santos!

The politician has been charged with several federal charges nearly two weeks after she rejected the television personality for her outfit to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. While the details of the investigation are still ongoing, that hasn’t stopped Teigen from sharing her hilarious — and appropriate — reaction with her 41.7 million followers on social media.

Chrissy Teigen Shares Her Excitement At Rep. Law Battle George Santos

When news broke that Santos was in legal trouble for falsifying some details in his campaign finance filings, Teigen was there to mock him. For the big moment, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model chose comedian Amanda Seales’ reaction video and posted it on her Instagram Story.

In the clip, the “Not Safe” star walks from one end of the screen to the other before emerging from the bottom to laugh at headlines claiming Santos has surrendered to authorities.

At one point, the “I Be Knowin'” star (snaps) the words, “Gotchu b****tthhh,” in a singsong voice, laughs again, and closes the clip with the question, “You think they’ll let you pretend to be Jewish AND White?” loudly, “Ha!”

While we’re not sure what kind of entertaining response Teigen got from the TikTok clip in her DMs, we can assure you that she won’t back down from mocking Santos. The two have been at loggerheads since the Republican took to Twitter to state:

“The shelves at Kohl’s & Macy’s must be empty after the amount of outerwear I’ve seen so far from last night,” Santos tweeted on Sunday, April 30. “But before we dive into the off-the-rack gowns … What is Chrissy Teigen wearing?”

He then released a second update, making a thread highlighting “the loss of #WHCD23.” The list features stars like Jerry O’Connell and his wife, Rebecca Romijn, Ariana Madix, and Julia Fox.

It also includes Teigen and her boyfriend, John Legend, proving that the congressman has a personal grudge against the “FABLife” alum.

However, she ignored that last jab and focused on her original tweet, which was trolled and posted by critics along with the text, “Now she wants to be Joan Rivers,” referring to the comedian known for her stellar work on “Fashion Police.”

In response, the mother of three uploaded a clip showing her and Legend posing on the WHCD23 red carpet. The footage shows the dress is floor-length and has oversized sleeves that hide most of her arms from view.

It also features a deep v-neckline and a long slit that gives viewers a peak at one of the long, toned legs of the “Lip Sync Battle” alum. She wrote above the clip, “I want to say nice, but this is a legit awesome outfit.”

Representative for the Eastern District of New York Pleads Not Guilty to Federal Charges

The Blast reports that Santos is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Justice’s public integrity prosecutor and is expected to appear in court as early as Wednesday, May 10. The embattled Brazilian native is charged with fraud, theft of public funds, money laundering, and making false statements.

Although he has pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the charges, it is the first time he has been accused of fraud and falsifying statements. He was also accused of stealing money meant for Iraq War veteran service dog surgeries.

The veteran, Richard Osthoff, claimed the scam happened after he discovered his dog, Sapphire, had a stomach tumor that needed immediate attention. He was soon introduced to Santos — who went by the alias Anthony Devolder and ran a pet charity at the time.

The 34-year-old immediately set up a GoFundMe for Sapphire’s surgery but shut it down when it received $3,000 in donations. The United States representative then disappeared with the money, and Osthoff learned that he had used it for “another dog.”

After the dog’s death in 2017, the veteran made it his mission to make Santos pay for the alleged fraud, which he claimed was wire and charity fraud. Osthoff also called the lawmaker a fraud who used an alias to carry out and get away with the crime.

In addition, he revealed that he is working with government agencies to punish Santos with criminal charges.
