Christian McCaffrey has revealed that he had to stop his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, from buying a VIP suite for her mother for the Super Bowl.
It comes after Culpo claimed that he bought Christian’s mother, Lisa McCaffrey, a VIP suite to watch him play in the Super Bowl in comfort.
Lisa previously said she didn’t “own” the suite and instead negotiated for “the area” before her future son-in-law came to the rescue.

In a recent interview with Extra TVThe 49ers star running back said he had to stop his fiancee from buying a luxury VIP suite that would have given his mother the chance to watch him play in comfort at Super Bowl LVIII.
The 27-year-old NFL star stated that he “had to talk Culpo out of buying a suite because he didn’t like anyone paying to watch him play.”
“He’s trying, but I’m not going to let anybody pay to watch me play,” Christian told the media when asked if Culpo was indeed trying to buy the suite.

Christian’s mother had previously shared on her “Your Mom” podcast on Friday that she couldn’t afford the suite because of its high price, adding that she was instead negotiating “an area,” but didn’t “understand exactly what it was.”
“Part of the problem is that I want eight tickets together,” Lisa said on her podcast. “I feel strongly about everyone together.”
“So, in short, it’s very expensive, it’s very expensive, I don’t know if it’s the Taylor Swift factor if it’s the first time in Vegas factor, there’s a lot going on,” he added.

Hours after Lisa’s revelation about her inability to get a VIP suite to watch her son’s big game, the actor stepped in to show how much of a good son-in-law she would make.
It came after Matt Ampolsky, CEO of Confirmed360, a company that provides access to “coveted events,” shared Lisa’s post on his Instagram Story, asking Culpo to “please fix them.”
Culpo later shared the post on his own Instagram story and jokingly wrote it as “fake news!” as he added, “Happy birthday Lisa I bought you a suite,” and tagged Confirmed360 in the post.
Lisa later reposted Culpo’s post on her Instagram story with a prayer and confetti emoji.

Elsewhere in his interview with additional TV, Christian weighed in on his wedding plans with the actress, revealing that she had “steered the ship” with her “unbelievable” style.
“Well, he’s done a great job,” he said of Culpo. “She definitely steers the ship when it comes to anything wedding related so far, but I give my input when needed, but obviously her style is unbelievable, and everything she wants I like too, so but it’s going well…”
The soccer star continued, “I’m so thankful that I have someone like him who not only supports me like he does but also handles all that stuff and allows me to do what I love at the moment while he’s still working on his career too… It going very well.”
