Christina Applegate is considering quitting acting ahead of the upcoming Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.
The actress continues to prove her dedication to acting, choosing to end the “Dead to Me” series despite being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis during filming in 2021. Now, the mother of one has admitted that her upcoming SAG Awards will most likely be her last. as he deals with the effects of the disease behind the scenes.

Although acting is no longer her priority, Applegate has earned many accolades, including her sixth SAG nomination in the outstanding performance by an actress in a comedy series category for her role in “Dead to Me.”
With the honor, the 51-year-old has spoken about her future after the ceremony. In conversation with L.A. TimesThe dedicated actor said:
“It’s my last award show as an actor, probably, so it’s a bit of a big deal. Right now, I can’t imagine getting up at 5 in the morning and spending 12 to 14 hours on a set; I don’t have that in me at the moment.”

Applegate has weighed her options without acting in her life, landing to produce and “do a lot of voices to make a little money” to make sure her daughter, Sadie, “is fed, and we go home.”
Additionally, the three-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee has been spending a lot of time in bed, watching all the reality television shows he’s never seen. One show he avoids is his Netflix comedy that he says he hates to see himself struggle with. The “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” cast added:
“Also, I gained 40 pounds from inactivity and medication, and I didn’t look like myself, and I didn’t feel like myself.”
When he wandered off to watch the show – alone, he had to stop when it became too much to bear. Applegate eventually distanced himself “from my own ego, and realized[d] that piece of television is really beautiful. All the scenes I wasn’t in were really fun to see and experience for the first time.”
One thing Applegate doesn’t lack for is love and support, as she admits how much star Linda Cardellini has helped her. The actor described his friend as a “divine artist” who was “there, there for you, no matter what.”
Another thing that has helped her deal with her MS diagnosis is her humor. The Blast shared that the Young Artist Award winner told Kelly Clarkson:
“My armor of humor makes me ok. Um, but of course, on the inside, you feel that, and I do it a little bit to deflect it and make people not afraid to be around me.”

He further explained that he wanted people to feel comfortable so they could “laugh about it,” adding that he “wrote a song called, ‘Disaby Baby, hurry down the chimney tonight. I can’t cause my wheelchair not to fit on it.’ “

Last November, The Blast reported that Applegate received support from another star battling MS, Selma Blair. As it turns out, the “Hell Boy” actor has been dealing with the chronic illness since 2018, making him all too familiar with its effects.
However, Blair has had some success, including showing off her ballroom skills on “Dancing With The Stars” last year. Unfortunately, he had to bow out early due to his condition, returning for a final hoorah in the final stages of the competition. Speaking about Applegate’s resilience so far, Blair stated:
“She is the iconic Californian actress of my generation. There’s not one thing he’s done that I don’t like, ‘Up it,’ and he’s just being who he is with this MS.
The “Brown’s Requiem” actress also touched on the supportive nature of her friends even when dealing with her MS (Applegate). Blair noted that Applegate was “just amazing and strong and fun,” showing up at people’s doorsteps when they needed her.
