Christina Hall didn’t sign up for a life where her daughter, Taylor Reese, followed in her career footsteps at such a young age!
Although she has made a name for herself as a real estate investor, previously co-starring on HGTV’s “Flip or Flop,” with her now ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, Hall wasn’t open to her daughter finding the same success in real estate before. And it doesn’t matter how talented the 12-year-old is or if both parents are established.
Christina Hall Wants A “Normal” Life For Her Children
As Hall continues to grow his brand as a real estate guru and reality star, it’s safe to assume he’s seen everything the industry has to offer— the highs, the lows, and the in-betweens. Therefore, it makes it easier for him to know which children share his passion for design and if following that path at a young age is healthy for them.
During a recent interview, the “Christina on the Coast” star talked about how her first child — who she shares with Tarek — is already showing interest in following in her parents’ footsteps.

“Taylor is a natural. He’s actually really good at design and he’s really good on camera. It kind of freaks me out, but I don’t want him to do anything for a while,” Hall told E! News.
Hall admitted that while she’s allowing Taylor and Brayden James — her second child she also shares with Tarek — to make cameo appearances on her new HGTV show, “Christina in the Country,” she has no hope that any episodes will focus primarily on them. Explaining this, the mother of three said:
“They film with us maybe an hour maximum, maybe once a month. I want them to go to college and then, later on, if that’s something they want to do and pursue, more power to them. But most of all, I just want them to have a normal childhood.”
Hall’s plan is already coming to fruition, as he showed in the birthday tribute he dedicated to Taylor last September. The Blast reports that the doting mother posted numerous photos, including one showing the celebrant posing next to a blue rock adorned with a three-tiered yellow and pink cake painting and four balloons.
Subsequent images show the nearly-teen enjoying a cuddle with Hall, playing with a dog, taking selfies under an umbrella, and leaning against a wall as a child. The carousel also includes a glimpse of the baby girl who replaced her as a bridesmaid at her mother’s wedding to her current — and third — husband, Josh Hall. The proud mom gushed in the caption:
“We are so proud of Taylor!! He excels at school, excels at club soccer and has a great group of friends. I love you beautiful / sweet girl, keep shining.”

The birthday post garnered 83,000 likes and multiple shout-outs from Hall’s fans, with one thinking, “Didn’t he just have a birthday? Omg he’s growing up so fast!” A second fan claimed Taylor was lucky to have the 39-year-old as a mother, while another noted that “Tarek’s genes won out” when it came to his physical appearance.

Hall recently added a Tennessee vacation home to his collection, despite already having two mansions in California and Nashville, which he shuffles between. Shortly after the purchase, the San Diego State University alumnus noted that he liked how “the combination of having privacy and the family values of people there felt very different.” Speaking further, the Anaheim native said:
“The best. It is definitely where we will retire. I like to do the opposite [of what I do now]: I want to live there full time and then have a cute little beach cottage in California, in La Jolla, that we go back to.”
As it turned out, Hall had his eyes set on making the house — located in Franklin — his family’s home base for their golden years. In short, the “ultimate plan” is to move out and settle down after her children – including Hudson London, who she shares with ex Ant Anstead – are done with school.
For the host of “Christina: Stronger by Design”, who has lived in California all her life, “this is really a new beginning.”
