Supermodel Cindy Crawford has just posted a tribute to Tina Turner, one of many for the late Queen of Rock and Roll, who was stricken with various ailments in her final years.
While fans appreciated Crawford’s sentiments, a particular photo of herself in the post had trolls escalating and slamming her for the inappropriately “narcissistic” post. Here’s how…

Cindy Crawford, 57, posted a sweet and heartfelt tribute to Tina Turner, an icon of her time and a legend today, with a photo of Turner captioned, “Rest in peace @tinaturner ?️? Inspiration and example of what it means to be a strong woman, for me and many others.”
There are many Instagram users who support her words, feeling that the world has lost not only a great voice but also a great woman.
Turner, who was 83, died at his home in Küsnacht, Switzerland, following a long illness, including cancer, a stroke, and kidney failure in his final years. Ironically, one of her last posts in May was about kidney failure and how she regretted not taking care of it earlier in her life. Turner got a second lease on life in 2017 when her husband, Erwin Bach, donated one of his kidneys to her, at a time when she was being considered for euthanasia due to ongoing dialysis and other health problems.
In her post, Turner wrote, “My kidneys were victims of my not realizing that my high blood pressure should have been treated with conventional medicine. I had put myself in grave danger by refusing to face the reality that I would need daily, lifelong therapy with medicine. Already for too long I believed that my body was an untouchable and indestructible fortress.”

Fans appreciate Tina Turner’s photos, with some recalling her talent, others her beauty, and one fan even showing appreciation for Tina Turner’s “great legs.”
What I don’t like the most, is the second picture of the post, Cindy Crawford posing with a microphone, in a Tina Turner-like pose.
Somehow, this smacked of narcissism to many, and outraged Instagram users were quick to leave the supermodel a few choice comments because of the “narc vibe!”
“Why the second picture of yourself? Quite inappropriate in this case.”
“Seriously. Please keep it about Tina, because she is dead.”
“Wow! The narcissism of this post. It’s really important to get a picture of yourself in there too. Wow – wow!”
“I’m a big fan but this lacks taste. This post should be about Tina not about trying to make yourself relevant on the day of her passing…”
Thankfully, there are some other voices out there who are stepping in to defend Crawford and his honor.

Some fans appreciate both pictures, since Herb Ritts took both, with Cindy Crawford posing as Tina Turner in a themed shoot.

Others took it a little more personally, feeling that Cindy’s daughter Kaia Gerber’s Instagram story was more respectful of Tina Turner, since it was all about her.
