Cole spent the summer of 2010 in Los Angeles with his mother. His initial ambition was to become an actor. But, about a month after they arrived, Pendery was informed of an audition for a boy band formed by three very influential figures in the music industry: Simon Fuller, Jamie King, and Perez Hilton.
