Comedian Chris Redd Reveals Brass Knuckle-Battered Face, Says He Is ‘Ok And Healing Fast!’

“SNL” alum Chris Redd recently revealed that he’s fine after the attack and showed off his battle scars after Wednesday’s unexpected attack. An unidentified man in a security uniform punched the actor in the face shortly before his show at the Comedy Cellar in NYC. Witnesses rushed Redd to the hospital as he suffered bleeding injuries to his face.

In a post shared on his IG stories, the comedian revealed that he is fine and “recovering quickly” after the surprise attack from the unknown assailant.

The attack left a large scar on the “Handsome” star’s nose, as seen in a new photo. Those pictures TMZ share shows Redd’s swollen eye and stitched up nose injury. While the star recovered quickly, the NYC Police Department still has no idea who the attacker was.

As they previously reported, Redd got out of his car at 9:04pm in front of the Greenwich Village Comedy Cellar when an unknown man ran up to him and punched him in the face. The attacker then grabbed Redd’s chain, which he recovered after it collapsed on the floor.

Following that, the crime witness took the actor to Bellevue hospital for treatment. He was bleeding on the street and stairs in front of the comedy club, as seen in the clip TMZ shared. As the police were patrolling the area, the assailant fled before they could reach him.

However, the party is still investigating the incident to find out the identity of the attacker and the motive behind his actions. They are also collecting surveillance footage of the attack in hopes of finding clues. Regardless of the encounter, Redd was glad to be alive.
