Steps to recover Yahoo account without phone number or email address
Follow the instructions provided to recover or recover your Yahoo account and reset your password without using your linked phone number or email address:
- Go to www.yahoo.com
- Press the ‘Login’ button located in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Then type your username, email address or mobile phone number linked to your Yahoo account and press ‘Next’.
- On the next page, where you need to enter your password, click on ‘Forgot Password’.
- If you are asked to verify your phone number, click ‘I don’t have access’.
- Then, if you added security questions when you created your Yahoo account, you’ll have the option to answer them to recover your account. If you remember the answer, write it down and click ‘Check’. If you don’t know the answer, click ‘I can’t answer this question’.
- If in case you added more than one security question, you can skip the previous one and answer the next one (since I had added 2 security questions to my Yahoo account, so I had the option to answer any one). Enter the answer to the security question and then click ‘Verify’.
- Once this is done, you will be allowed to create a new password for your account. After that, you can sign out and then sign in to your Yahoo account with the new password.
That is the only option by which you can recover your Yahoo account without using any recovery phone number or email address. However, this option may not work for you if you haven’t added any security questions to your Yahoo account.
Also, according to Yahoo’s official page, security questions are no longer considered a safe recovery option so users have been advised to remove them or Yahoo will remove security questions when user adds any phone number or recovery email address to your account. Recover your account with Yahoo Plus support
Another option for Yahoo account recovery if you’ve lost access to your phone number or email address and can’t reset your password is to get live customer support for Yahoo. You can contact Yahoo support officers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 800-305-7664.
But here is a catch. This option is only for users of Yahoo Plus (Yahoo’s paid service). If you’ve upgraded to Yahoo Plus, you can call them directly for live support, even for a minor issue like changing your password.
The last option to recover your Yahoo account without a phone number or email address is to contact the Yahoo support team using your social media handles. You may or may not get a response from them, but it’s better to try something instead of getting frustrated about losing access to your Yahoo account.
