The singer was reportedly found dead in his bathtub this morning by his friend. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department shared that authorities are responding. A call in Lancaster, California where they confirmed that Carter had passed away.
Not much is known about Carter’s death yet but he has recently had problems in his personal life and he has had an ongoing battle with substance abuse for some time.
As the sad news spread, celebrity friends and people Carter worked with reacted to her death.

The singer is also an actor and has appeared on several Disney channel shows including Lizzie McGuire and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Disney star friends Christy Carlson Romano from Even Steven fame took to Twitter to express his regret.
“Very saddened by the passing of Aaron Carter. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family,” she wrote with a candle emoji.
Diane Warren’s lyrical genius also share condolences. “Fame at a young age is often more of a curse than a blessing and Living it up is not easy. RIP Aaron Carter,” he wrote.
R&B singer Sammie, who, rose to prominence around the same time as Carter commented on the news posted by TheShadeRoom; “Shit,” he wrote. One word never held so much weight.
Loni Love shared a sweet post honoring Carter on her Twitter. “Meet Aaron Carter in 2018, funny, talented and cool. I felt that he was trying…he was really just trying to be happy. I am also saddened to hear of his passing.. Condolences to his family and fans 💔,” he wrote along with a photo of the singer appearing on The Real One.
Aaron Carter Fights With His Ex-Girlfriend

The 34-year-old is in a battle with his ex-girlfriend Melanie Martin over their 11-month-old son. In February, she filed the necessary legal paperwork to get ‘legal and physical custody of their child. She accused Martin of domestic abuse and instead, she accused him of being an unfit parent and a substance abuser.
In addition, shortly before his death, the actor was pulled over in LA on suspicion of driving under the influence. After a field sobriety test was administered and Carter passed, he was allowed to go.
After the incident, Carter posted on Instagram, “When you do the right thing, you don’t get in trouble. Do the right thing, that’s what you do.” Officers weaved through the road due to RV driving and high winds at the time.
It looks like Carter is on the straight and narrow.
