Cops corral 12-foot python let loose in streets of England

British Bobby fights a cold-blooded killer who tries to slide from their grasp with a hiss.

Police responded to an early morning call of a 12ft Burmese python in the middle of a West Bromwich street on Wednesday.

Three officers were seen hooking the non-venomous yellow reptile as a fourth looked on, pictures show.

It is unclear where the snake originated, but it is commonly kept as a pet in the UK.

It was taken to a veterinary hospital for observation, West Midlands police said.

“Our officers are not easily irritated when responding to unusual calls,” the department said on Instagram.

“Although RSPCA colleagues would normally deal with this situation, they were unable to attend due to the timing of the call until some of our brave response officers stepped in,” the post continued.

“We managed to rescue the snake safely and get it into our van without too much slipping and sliding,” they added.
