Career
Corliss Williamson started playing hoops in high school. He used to perform in high school, where he won many honors. Corliss was named all-conference and all-state three times. He was awarded the Gatorade National Player of the Year in 1991-1992.
From 1992 to 1995, he also starred at the University of Arkansas. In 1992-93, he guided the institution to a 22-9 record and a Sweet 16 berth in the NCAA Tournament, and he was awarded the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Following that, Williamson guided Arkansas to the title game in 1995, but they were defeated by UCLA. Corliss announced his retirement from playing in September 2007 to become an assistant coach at Arkansas Baptist College. He then spent three years as a volunteer instructor at Arkansas Baptist.
On March 12, 2010, he was named the men’s basketball coach at the University of Central Arkansas. On August 2, 2013, he left Central Arkansas to work as an assistant for the Sacramento Kings. Corliss left the Kings on June 29, 2016, to become an assistant coach with the Orlando Magic under new coach Frank Vogel. On May 22, 2018, the Phoenix Suns revealed that Williamson had been named an assistant coach under new coach Igor Kokov.
