Jeremy Clements was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on January 16, 1985. The NASCAR driver comes from a racing family with rich roots. Crawford Clements, the famous NASCAR engine owner and manufacturer, was his grandfather. Crawford, his grandfather, was the crew chief for AJ Foyt in 1964 when Foyt won the July 4th race at Daytona. Crawford introduced Jeremy to racing, but he died of cancer when he was 12.
Louis Clements, Jeremy’s uncle, was the Tournament Crew Chief with Rex White. They have worked together for almost 25 years in engine development initiatives and race car ownership. Additionally, Jeremy’s father, Tony Clements, owns the Jeremy Clements Racing Team, for which Jeremy drives. Tony is in charge of Clements Automotive, which Crawford founded in 1965.
